With the Arrival of Dale Jr. to HMS, I glad for him, but what do Jr. fans think now of his new teammates especially Gordon who they can't stand.

I'm not sure about the JR fans.. but coming from a Gordon fan.. I'll tell you this.. It is IMPORTANT to me, and should be important to all NASCAR fans, that the rivalry between the Gordon and Earnhardt family keeps going on. Even though they are on the same team now, that shouldn't change anything. It helps that the 24, and 48 are housed in different shops than the 5, and 25 (88 next season). Hopefully this change will help intensify the rivalry between the 2, and make it more entertaining for us to watch. Seein' Gordo and Junebug go @ it week in, and week out should be quite amusing.

Here's what they have learned, don't be afraid to test the "gray areas" of the rule book. Blatant cheating will get you in a heap of trouble but most of the things that HMS has gotten in trouble for are not clearly laid out in the rules. When Chad gets to problem solving outside of the box it makes NASCAR look stupid. They don't like that so they react with fines and suspensions. The one thing about Rick is he will back you 100% as long as you continually try to improve things, regardless of the consequences. Even when everything is going good at HMS, they don't sit back and take a break. They look for every loophole and advantage they can find whether that's with the cars or their testing. Rick is the driving force behind it all but he has assembled some of the finest racing minds and drivers that have ever been together on the same team. They and JGR seemed to have a distinct advantage in the earlier COT races but I don't think you will see either team dominate as much as they did last year. edit: mattywin, HMS did NOT use the new Chevy motor last year, that was RCR and DEI that made the early switch. They are using it this year though.

I'm a die hard Dale Jr fan, I do not hate Jeff Gordon, he's just not my fav..I've never thrown anything at him like the crazy's at 'dega...I totally welcome Dale Jr going to HMS and becoming Jeff Gordon's team mate..No problem at all.. I'm just glad Dale Jr will be going to the best team out there.. Heck I even enjoy Jeff Gordons energy drink, over Mtn Dew/Amp.. I'm so happy for Dale Jr, to be a part of HMS, including all the drivers, Jeff, Jimmie and Casey.. Jr Nation will calm about the rivalry once Dale Jr wins some races..

I've always seen a rivalry in Jr. vs. JJ/Gordon. It's the NASCAR's Sox/Yankees...they absolutely hate each other. Going by that logic, I'd say it should be really fun to watch the war.
I'm just fine with Jr coming over. Then again, I'm a Gordon fan.

That statement is a total joke.
I think a lot of the Jr. fans aren't too happy about this, but they've chosen to accept it and move on. I know that many of them wanted Jr. to go to Gibbs....but what would be worse for them? Jr. driving for HMS or Jr. driving a Toyota?

I like Jr., don't care much for Gordon, Johnson or Rick Hendrick.

I am a die hard Jr. fan. I do not like Gordon. Nor do I hate him. I don't care what team either of them drives for, I will still like Jr. and not like Gordon. I am a driver fan, not a team fan. Nothing will change for me.

I have no problem with Jeff Gordon, I sorta don't like Jimmie Johnson(can't put my finger on why). Mears seems like a cool guy so no problem there either. Hell even the Sr/DW rivalry ended after awhile. I mean come on DW even drove a race or 2 for DEI (filling in for Steve Park).

That's why racing has no room for emotion. It's a business, not a love affair. Junior wants to win races. He knows what he's doing. His fans need to realize that.
