Why do so many of this religious crusaders come into the gay and lesbian section spewing their religious garbage?
Why are you guys SO focused on homosexuality as a sin? You guys make it seem like it's the ultimate sin of the universe or something. I don't know, but the last time I checked it wasn't listed in the 10 commandments, Jesus didn't say "thou shalt not be homosexual" when he was up on that cross, so I don't see why everyone treats it like the ultimate sin. Sin is sin, and we ALL do it. So...remember...the next time you decide to point a finger, remember you always have 3 more pointing right back at yourself.
Most of the GLBT section don't feel the need to go to others and harass them or MAKE them into something they're not. We know homophobes exist. We'd like to EDUCATE them, but we're not forcing anything down anyone's throat and we're not belitting anyone or harassing anyone in the process. We just want to be able to COEXIST peacefully.

Speaking as a member of a religion where homosexuality is generally viewed positively -- we even have whole denominations devoted to GLBT members -- I've seen what the gay and lesbian section has to put up with, and I'm sorry that you keep getting attacked. Please don't blame everybody in the R&S section for the actions of a vocal few. Most of us, I think, are quite content to leave you in peace; or at least, I hope so.

Be GLBT ideology affects all of society. you are extremists yourselves. you push for things like gay rights and the sort. Are you not humans too? so why can't you accept Human Rights, why call for something else exclusive to you all. GLBT's Try to redefine sexuality and the natural and moral law of society and the body. That is a sin.
We christians try to correct that new misguided thinking by preserving the only truthful way of thinking (with both faith and reason) because that ideology and lifestyle negatively affects the new generating society.
When you take what is wrong for a right and society accepts what is wrong as a norm when in fact it is Human Population Pandemic, then there is confusion everywhere. Christians stand for the truth which the godless persons rejects.

well These questions pop up after you answer one and whatever section they are in doesn't matter..
The Gay & Lesbian doesn't mean that only Gays & Lesbians can answer, but that it the theme of the question and anyone can answer..
If someone asks "Is it ok to be a homosexual?" and it shows up where I am then I might just answer. Am I harrassing someone? NO. I am answering a question..
This whole forum gives us a chance to get different points of view on any subject.. That is not hating you just because I disagree with you or quote the Bible..

It does seem that some Christians have picked gays as sins poster child. A sin is a sin, and while homosexuality is a sin it is no more or less a sin that adultry or lying or anything else of the like.

I haven't personally harrassed anyone, but I'm sorry you are feeling judged. That is not what followers of Christ should be making you feel.
We should be offering you Christ's love, peace and grace.
I agree with you that some people do hyperfocus on homosexuality.

The ones who are the most oppressed get to say who the extremists are. Gays and Lesbians aren't hurting me. It's not my business. I have friends who are gay. Big deal. If you don't like their lifestyle, leave them alone. Neither YOU, Reverend, or anyone else has the right to tell them they cannot be what they wish to be. It's their god given right.

Sometimes I go there to GLBT and read, and you are right.
There is much venom spilled out there. And by Christians too.
Of course, we seem to live in a very angry world now. Sad.

The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision. ~Lynn Lavner

I agree. Do you see any of us constantly going on the religious and spirituality section answering all questions with, "I'm gay, if you don't accept me and embrace me the way I am then you are going to Hell for hypocrisy."
I don't... go to that section and post that.

Are you familiar with the concept of "mandate"? A lot of religious people feel they are given the "right" to "save the world" because their "book" of choice tells them to do that.
I wonder what they would do if their "book" told them all to suck eggs! Would they become Egg Suckers?
