If Satan is backing Gore, so be it...
In view of the last president appointed by God, I'd guess Satan's favorite should make it to the White House.
Only Satan's spawn could have invented the Internets; God still runs on Windows 2000 BC

I am sure many of the Right Religious Republicans would.
Rev Soliel, the Nobel Peace Prize is not for science.
There are other Nobel prizes awarded for that.
If you are trying to make out that Gore is uneducated or ignorant it is a very cheap shot on your part.
Note:
According to the Norwegian Nobel Committee:
Al Gore has for a long time been one of the world's leading environmentalist politicians. He became aware at an early stage of the climatic challenges the world is facing. His strong commitment, reflected in political activity, lectures, films and books, has strengthened the struggle against climate change. He is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted.[80]
Gore made the following statement after receiving the Nobel:
I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This award is even more meaningful because I have the honor of sharing it with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change -- the world's pre-eminent scientific body devoted to improving our understanding of the climate crisis -- a group whose members have worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years. We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level. My wife, Tipper, and I will donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan non-profit organization that is devoted to changing public opinion in the U.S. and around the world about the urgency of solving the climate crisis.
Also note:
"Internet pioneers Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn wrote a 2000-09-29 article (originally sent via email) that described Gore's contributions to the Internet since the 1970s, including his work on the Gore Bill
[A]s the two people who designed the basic architecture and the core protocols that make the Internet work, we would like to acknowledge VP Gore's contributions as a Congressman, Senator and as Vice President. No other elected official, to our knowledge, has made a greater contribution over a longer period of time. Last year the Vice President made a straightforward statement on his role. He said: "During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the Internet." We don't think, as some people have argued, that Gore intended to claim he "invented" the Internet. Moreover, there is no question in our minds that while serving as Senator, Gore's initiatives had a significant and beneficial effect on the still-evolving Internet. The fact of the matter is that Gore was talking about and promoting the Internet long before most people were listening. We feel it is timely to offer our perspective. As far back as the 1970s Congressman Gore promoted the idea of high speed telecommunications as an engine for both economic growth and the improvement of our educational system. He was the first elected official to grasp the potential of computer communications to have a broader impact than just improving the conduct of science and scholarship. Though easily forgotten, now, at the time this was an unproven and controversial concept."

If anything I believe there should be more like him. If more like him with his determination to save this planet after the polar shift in 2000 we might have been able to save this planet from all the destruction being caused by this. Volcanoes, flooding, climate changes, melting of the ice caps from global warming, tsunamis, earthquakes volcanoes and hurricanes just to name a few. Remember when the Mississippi River changed directions and flowed opposite of it's normal flow? Caused by an earthquake if I remember correctly. These could have been corrected by now if we hadn't abused Mother Earth in the way we have. I am afraid we are just a little to late, it's already started with a bang and we haven't seen anything yet. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but look around, especially New Orleans and surrounding areas. He deserves more than the Nobel Peace Prize. This is not satan's fault, it's our fault.

Do you want to know what this is like for me? ( lol )
To me it's similar in the reality of it all to Jethro Tull being awarded the 1989 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance. ROTFLMAO
It also tells me that the folks who are responsible for placing Al Gore do not consider science as being an issue to this Global Warming presentation. It appears to be 'feelings' that they are considering - Liberal feelings.
I am not surprised, and was highly skeptical of the Nobel prize when Yasser Arafat was given the Nobel Peace prize.
So I view them as being rather a liberal group, apparently from a long time ago, because I have just become aware that Joseph Stalin and Benito Mussolini were also considered for the prize.
( eh? )

Is it Satan's handiwork? Maybe. But I really don't have to go there to hold them in disregard.

Don't know about Satan, but I have to ask...what has Al Gore's work in this area done to promote world peace?
Anybody? Anything?
Nothing but silence!!!! and bad science!!!!
This just proves how much of a sham the Nobel Peace Prize has become...with Al Gore joining such great peacemakers as Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, UNWRA (twice), UN Peacekeeping forces (NOT), Desmond Tutu and Amnesty International....to name a few.

There is no Satan.
But I do think its unfortunate that someone would win such a prize for only half a story. Gore's movie told us important things about the environment, but left out all the tough ways we would have to change to fix these problems, like everything we do and buy costing twice as much (or more). He said what was popular and left out the unpopular part. Is that the best person/work for this prize?

Global Warming COULDN'T be political now COULD IT?
I find it ironic you will not get any funds for studying Global Warming if you are against it. Ironic? How can the studies be fair?
If you want to stop the biggest emitter of carbon dioxide, get rid of the Ocean! Then get rid of the Sun, that is what heats up the Ocean and makes the Carbon Dioxide.
Levels of carbon dioxide actually went DOWN during the industrial age in America.
The other day I read that Global Warming, could also be known as Global cooling? Huh? Yet it means the same thing. hahaha.
No if you use an extra napkin, you will not cause a tornado in Indonesia.
This is the new world order, have the Govt. and media scare you into doing things, that has political gain. It is in their best interest to control you.
What's next? Killing people because there is too much pollution? This is the way most environmentalist think.

According to that specific fairy tale, God made man to take care of the earth so if Satan were to exist and be powerful enough to alter what man does, I think Satan's hand would be influencing Rush Limbaugh, George Bush, Dickish Cheney and all the others who don't care about our planet!
