id go with a nissan 350z damn those cars look nice or the 2008 mustang gt 500. that goes for about $38,000 and it has 500 horsepower

I'd go with a 1990-1996 300zx Twin Turbo. You could buy one with super low miles for under $20,000 and put another $20,000 in mods and have a car faster than anything you could buy new for $40,000. Throw on a set of tasteful wheels and a nice suspension drop and you WILL get attention. Not to mention that the 90-96 body style was so ahead of it's time that it still looks new today.

There's that new Mercedes that just came out. Some pretty aggressive styling. If you can wait until next year they have those new BMW 1 series coming out. Funky colors and very hot looking.
You posted in the Nissan section, so there is always a loaded Altima Coupe in a hot color. There's also the 350Z, although it is beginning to look a little dated.
If you just want to show off and need a car now, I'd get a 2008 Mercedes C class sport.

You are in luck 350Z is waiting at your local Nissan Dealership. Second choice is a 2008 Altima V-6 coupe. Get your sports car now because life takes many turns and wife and kids won't allow you to have this opportunity again.

If you want a nissan, you should go with a 350Z. If you want something more for luxury, i would go with an infinity G37 (although this cost more than 40k). Add some goodies from Stillen and they can make your Z running over 500HP and sound beautiful.
