A couple things i need to know. I have a ps3...i need to get a DVI to HDMI cable because my HDTV doesnt have anywhere to plug in just a regular HDMI cable... it is a HD compatible TV and I just had the HD box installed so do i just plug the DVI to HDMI cable from the ps3 into the HD box and it will work? Do i lose any quality in the DVI to HDMI cable?

HDMI is a superset of DVI, so it will work just fine.
You just need to connect separately stereo audio as well

dvi only transmit video. it will work well 4 ur video but u will need a separate audio input. i dont know the specs on a ps3 but if u don't have a separate output 4 audio that might not b a good idea. ur tv's probably not 1080p anyway because it doesnt have hdmi so it wouldn't benefit u 2 use hdmi or dvi. u should try component cables instead.
