I'm asking all people of the Jewish faith what you believe about Jesus. (I hate the word Jew, it sounds SO hateful). I know you don't buy into his divinity, but I've always been curious as to what you think about his teachings, and other things.

I love to know things about all religions, so don't think I'm trying to be hateful. I think its sad that there are so many haters that I have to clarify that, but as long as you know that I like you, then its all good i guess!

No! I don't think jews are hateful I think the word "Jew" SOUNDS hateful, mostly because the only time I ever hear it being used is by someone who doesn't like them. Its kinda how I feel about the word Mormon, it isn't inherently hateful, but a lot of people use it in an offensive way. Sorry you misinterpreted what i was saying. I don't like to say the word Jew for fear of people thinking Im a hater is all. i don't have any problems with Jewish people.

I tend to avert it becuase its so similar to Jap, i suppose. Which is inherently hateful. Once again, I'm sorry.

If the words attributed to him are accurate, Jesus taught the Torah pretty faithfully....although he appears to take credit for certain teachings that didn't belong to him and he taught things was diametrically opposed to Torah in some cases.

Overall, he was, at best, an iternant preacher who was not all that well versed in Torah. What his later followers did with his teachings is another case altoghether.

As for the word 'Jew'...it is only derogatory when used in such a manner. Just remember, 'Jew' is a noun and "jewish' is an adjective. If used correctly and respectfully, then no objection will be taken.

Why does the word Jew sound SO hateful? Do you think it might be because of the things you read in your gospels?

Jews are not offended by the word. I'm a Jew-by-choice and could hardly wait to call myself Jew and to speak of us/we instead of they/them.

Please give some thought as to why you find Jews so hateful.

As to what Jews think of Jesus, no two Jews agree on much of anything, but you'll find agreement on Jesus in that we are forbidden from worshiping man-made gods. The messiah will not be divine. He could be you or me. What are you doing to bring peace on earth for all mankind? We will recognize even YOU as the messiah when you bring peace on earth.

Jesus was not a rabbi, not a prophet, not divine. Jesus is irrelevant to Judaism.

Jews-for-Jesus and Messianic Jews are Christian. They are not and never have been Jews.

via jewish regulation, any jew, be they a convert or born to a jewish relatives - any jew who accepts and actively worships jesus as their lord and saviour is a CHRISTIAN... jews for jesus worship jesus - therfore via jewish regulation they're christians... the actuality that they gown up like jews, or do jewish rituals and holy days would not cause them to from now on jewish in judaisms eyes ... i ought to gown up like an area american or a buddhist monk if i had to besides the indisputable fact that it wouldnt make me the two of those issues... additionally - jews for jesus are properly popular for thier aggressive and intensely almost cult like conversion strategies... they modern themselves as jews - contained in the line and online and aim vunerable, dissafected jews on the sting of their communities and genuinely ''trick '' them into believeing in jesus... they pass to ''messianic synagogues '' not church homes, and get in touch with themselves fullfilled jews etc - all with a view to make the jewish individual much less resistant to talking with them or going to their centers... and that they are sturdy at it too- usually ive incorrect a messianic j4j as a real jew until eventually they use particular words or do some thing very un jewish and thats in common terms because of the fact i understand my faith and what to look out for ... there are a number of jews that dont have this knowlege and thats why they get sucked in... as a jew i think of jews for jesus are a unfavorable evangelical cult that choose carefull monitoring and restrict of activities in jewish factors and communities... they could coach approximately them in jewish colleges so as that human beings dont get sucked of their extreme version of chrisrtianiity. and to reiterate - in spite of what many christians right here will say - not a single regarded jewish individual, rabbi, regulation courtroom or community might realize a member of jews for jesus as being in any way jewish...

This is what one Jew noticed about the whole Jesus thing:
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:
"Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant will be saved.
For the Lord will carry out
his sentence on earth with speed and finality."
(Romans 9:27 - 28)

All he did was tell what God had already said about it. His name was Paul (Saul) of Tarsus.

They think that He was a great prophet, but not the Son of God. Other than that, I do not know how they actually view His teachings. I am assuming that since they think He was a prophet, they listen to His teachings somewhat.
