Well, it's always important to keep your teeth/ face safe. And you're right, it's not practical to carry around a mouth guard and pop it in whenever you might get into a fight. Also, getting hit in the face makes your eyes water, and makes it harder to see during a fight.
So the trick is to keep from getting hit in the face. Always keep your hands up during a fight. Also, dodging techniques in Boxing helps a lot! And distance covering and side stepping to dodge face hits. People have a tendency to go straight at a person even when they have plenty of space to side step.
If you want to go a different route though, dental braces help protect your teeth during a fight. I don't know how practical that is, but it's an option. We can always use straighter teeth.

There isn't one!

There are absolutely no guarantees and no guarnteed strategies for always doing anything in a physical defense situation.

Your best bet is to find a quality instructor, being training regularly and practicing dilligently, and learn as much as you possibly can about physical self-defense. Knowledge, expereince, and practice will provide you with the best likely outcome with regard to keeping your teeth, and the rest of yourself alive and in one piece in a physical confrontation. Otherwise, there is no miracle guarantee or strategy I'm afraid other than avoiding physical confrontation all together.

Good luck

I even have (in my profile %) an intact male collie (b&W) and an intact 8 month previous jack russel pup. the different collie is a spayed lady and the Lab/rottie go is an unspayed lady. i'm a canines habit therapist, so have complete administration over my canines and that they are waiting to stay completely happy with one yet another as you will locate. in spite of the indisputable fact that, I even have all 3 intact canines booked in to be neutered over right here couple of months. the reason of this is that neutered canines have not got the same point of hormones and as a result stresses that intact canines do. SO, by using neutering them, you would be giving them a happier rigidity loose existence! solid luck and shop on acceptable of it. you are able to desire to act at present right here formerly they get to struggling with.

Keep you hands up and when punching and make sure you retract them and keep them up also-many people don't and tend to drop them some as they bring their punches back. Also tucking your chin behind your shoulder and arm as you punch will protect the side of you mouth from hard shots.
