Its a regular RCA only a couple years old.Just wondering if I can fix since I am not an electrical engineer.Thanx...

If you have never done any electronic soldering, probably not . If you have some experience with soldering electronics, I'd be inclined to open up the TV and see what's involved.

Suspect that having a repair shop do the job would be more than $20. I suppose you could call and ask.

If your TV has video in jacks you could use an old VCR as a tuner. Hook it to your TV with composite cables or preferable s-video. (you just need the electronics, the tape part doesn't have to work)

If you can wait until Jan 2008, the government will start giving out coupons that will let you buy a digital converter box for about $20. These will tune in all the current analog & digital OTA broadcasts and have the same video out connections as a VCR.
