I'm going downstairs to get some chocolate milk... when I get back up you better be discussing the morality of a "Human" god in poems... BEGIN!

Atheism would be "I believe it's not butter" while religion is "I claim it is butter"

Several billion sandwich eaters can't be wrong..... Or can they?

How do I know you are downstairs getting chocolate milk you might be staring at the computer screen, And do you have stairs, and do you have milk?? How can I know I can not see you. See atheist are probably trying to decide whether you are telling the truth. And some Christians have no clue if you are even telling the truth. But when it comes to theism and atheist we both need proof, some need visible proof others do not. Just like butter or no butter.

atheism is not believing in a god or creator
to be agnostic is to believe there is something there, but you don't know what it is,
to be religious is to believe in something designed by humans,
to be spiritual is to feel the creator within your heart,
thesism is the belief your belief is the only 'right' belief for everyone.

i like the idea that the creator comes to each of us as we can best understand (the spirit in the heart), and that is what it is for each of us. culture and living together as clans and tribes long ago bound us to common understandings of things - put together with the spirit these become religion.

i don't like what we humans have done to religion - we have failed to love our brothers and sisters enough to respect the mixing of spirit and customs that make up their religion while at the same time demand that they follow ours...

if we really stop to look at each other with love in our hearts we will see there is more that we have in common than what we differ in...

this is especially true for the 3 major religions who are based in the old testament - but i think even the most basic core beliefs of do no harm, care for your surroundings, and love each other can be found in all spiritual belief systems...

I think this is the first time I honestly did not have anything constructive to say to someone... not that you're weird or anything... okay, maybe a little bit.

If I were to ask you if you believe I had butter in my fridge how would you respond?

lacks belief, but is not sure.

No butter.
Has belief there is none.

There is butter.
Has belief that there is.

There ya go.
