same argurement can be made for the whole bible. The sexism was the first thing that turned me off of it and it was the first thing that made me realize it must be wrong. It's amazing but growing up in a 3rd world country that was chauvunistic as hell, conservative christian, i still knew at a very young age, age 7, that sexism was wrong, that women are not less than men in any way.
Yes, i agree with you. Just like i say about the native culture that i grew up in, I understand when men are all for continuing with it because it is to their advantage but for the women...? I just wonder

I think they said she came from Adams rib to explain why men have less ribs than women (even though we now know men and women have the same amount of ribs). And when Adam was eating the apple, he choked when God appeared, which explains why men have an "Adams apple". And to explain why men work for a living, and why women go through labor.
They are just stories. In this day and age, I don't know how any one could believe that the stories are literally true and completely superficial. How could any one believe that God is so simple minded that all the bible is are literal accounts. I could never imagine any god as nothing more than a reporter.
I believe there are some very deep meanings behind the stories (whether from God or not, I don't know). Knowledge of good and evil takes away from innocence because we are now conscious of our actions. And because we have this knowledge, we can't live in paradise.. Like the quote "ignorance is bliss". I'm not a deep person though, so I can't go further into it, but I believe there is much more meaning to stories in the bible than what a simple mind could understand.
If it's meant to be literal... no, I don't blame Eve. Before eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we had no knowledge of good and evil. So how could anything we do prior to that knowledge be considered wrong and punishable by death?!

God could have made woman first, but didn't.
It is clear that God wanted Eve to be the genetic equal of Adam, so that's why God used a rib. Maybe God thought it easier to make Eve from pre-existing genetic material.
The Bible is clear that Adam and Eve shared equal responsibility for Original Sin, which got then kicked out of the Graden of Eden.

Of course Eve is responsible for get humans kick out of the garden of Eden. There was thousands of trees and she had to eat the fruit of the one tree she was told not eat from. Typical woman wants something just because she can't have it.
Just kidding it was probably that eve was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Adam probably would of done the same thing.

Adam was responsible.
Eve was deceived but Adam knew better.
Could not god have made a new wife for Adam if he had obeyed god ?
Or even forgiven Eve ?

Yes, it is fictional. The notion that all of the evil that has ever occurred in the entire history of humanity, all the torture and slaughter and persecution and conflict, all the disease and disaster, is due to one person plucking an apple off a tree 6,000 years ago, is just a completely, staggeringly, breath-takingly stupid idea, that anyone who is even tempted to believe it should seek medical help immediately, before they go completely bonkers and start killing people.
But still, there is a funny side:
"I'm lonely," Adam told God in the Garden of Eden. "I need to have someone around for company."
"Okay", replied God. "I'm going to give you the perfect woman. Beautiful, intelligent and gracious, she'll cook and clean for you and never say a cross word."
"Sounds good," Adam said. "But what's she going to cost?"
"An arm and a leg."
"That's pretty steep," countered Adam. "What can I get for just a rib?"

Both Adam and Eve were responsible. Adam as the head would be held in account over her.

Adam is symbolic of the human spirit, Eve the eternal soul. The rib covers the heart, the seat of wisdom. The soul seeks knowledge and understanding, but there is a price for knowledge and wisdom and that is the pain, burden, and responsibility that it brings when we lose our innocence and leave the oblivion of the animal existence. This myth has great beauty and depth. No myth should be taken at face value for such thinking degrades and trivializes the universal truths and experiences myth explains.

"Do you believe that Eve was responsible for getting kicked out of Eden?"
No I think its God's fault.
God created all things.
When a christian looks outside they say look what God created, but they forgot that God also created the tree of Good (GOOD) Evil (BAD).
I also believe the Bible is a fictionarl story, based on factual ideas.
I agree with you, men need to be over everything.
