JESUS IS GOD!
Jesus has to be God because -
1) He was not a liar - why would someone go as far as die just for a lie? Obviously He would have to be a lunatic which leads me to this point..
2) Jesus was not a lunatic - I have never heard of someone who was a lunatic going around doing nice things..
3) JESUS IS REAL! Jesus must be God if He is not a liar, and he is not a lunatic. There are no other possibilties.
and btw there are historical documents that DO prove that there was a man on this earth that did do those things!

I am happy for you. Thing is, it isn't about reasoning. First off--there is some evidence that Jesus existed, though it is scant. You can't use the Bible as evidence, and not just because it's biased--every single one of the gospels dates to well after Jesus' death. Paul is the only person who is old enough to have met him, and he certainly seemed to know Jesus' disciples, but he himself never met Jesus while he lived (I mean pre-Crucifixion).
Josephus referred to someone who MAY have been Jesus.
Personally, I'm willing to accept that a man named Jesus who may or may not have been a descendant of King David, could have pissed off Herod and the Romans by claiming to be the Messiah (the Annointed One--ie, the rightful ruler of Judea) and was crucified for doing so. He may also have been a very good and righteous man, which would explain why he drew so many followers (and also explains why the Romans and Herod considered him a threat). But was he born of a virgin? Seems unlikely. Was he the son of God? I doubt it, at least, no more than we all are the children of any creator that may or may not exist.
This is what I'm willing to except based on EVIDENCE. I use reasoning to draw conclusions based on evidence, or to form an hypothesis based on conjecture, but I don't choose to believe that any man was God incarnate simply because Paul and a bunch of guys who probably never met Jesus said so.

problem is that you are the only ones who NEED concrete proof.
I can say you don't have concrete proof that the manbearpig is the real reason for global warming.
it is your hypothesis (if it even rises to that level of credibillity) that jesus was divine rather than bieng just some preacher, therefore it is YOUR BURDEN OF PROOF.
the burden of proof always lies with the person or party making the claim.
So as I said there is no such thing as gravity, just a giant magnet exists at the center of the earth run by the hobbits and underpants gnomes and smurfs and when we humans are born, we are secretly implanted with invisible metal ballbearings in our feet (which are also undetectable with modern medicine- gotta love that smurf technology) and that is what keeps us from floating away into space.
What is your reasoning for not believing that? Your reasoning against it is just as good as mine, neither one of us has concrete proof, so what makes you kind of peopel not believe in the magnet? are you happy in life?

I beleive Jesus exsisted and was a good man who tried to show others that being good to eachother was a good thing. I am not Christian for many reasons but one main reason is that to much of what is taught by Chirstianity is hypacritical. I have been much happier since finding my true path than I ever was trying to force myself to be Christian.

"You're reasoning is just as good as us christians"
I beg to differ. You expect me to believe that such an incredible person existed, who healed the blind, walked on water, cured handicaps, fed thousands with a tiny bit of food, brought people back to life from the dead (including himself), and yet NOT A SINGLE PERSON WROTE A SINGLE WORD ABOUT THIS PERSON DURING HIS ALLEGED LIFETIME?
No, I don't think so. That's absurd. Any random philosopher from about the same time period who you can pluck out of a history book, who would be exponentially more mundane in comparison, has more contemporary (in other words, evidence from the same time they were alive) evidence than Jesus, yet one would expect every last scribe who could lift a writing implement to be documenting MIRACLES if they were happening right in front of their eyes.
All common sense dictates that Jesus, as described in the Bible's Gospels, would have TONS of contemporary evidence, yet there's none. Therefore, it is more than likely that it's all just made up.
"I do know Jesus is real b/c i have him in my heart- and he has spoken to me through my heart."
In other words, "My beliefs dictate reality to me." Your brainwashing is showing.
P.S. This is of course without mentioning all of the other problems with the stories, and how the myth of Jesus is so startlingly similar to the myths of other man-gods who were being worshipped long before Jesus's alleged life (Mithra, for example), and so on and so forth.

My reasoning is...there's no concrete evidence for any sort of deity...also, I doubt that anyone likes "You're reasoning is just as good as us Christians" which sounds like you're better than us...which you are not, we're the same, we're both human arn't we? I'm quite happy with my life, more so than when I was Christian actually...so what's your reasoning for that?

1. Christianity is just a rehash of other religions. Take a look at your holidays, to start.
2. By studying the Bible and other religions, I realized that it's nonsense.
3. Yes. I am happy with my life. I was miserable as a Christian.

I believe there was a good and wise man named Jesus who preached to the Hebrew people 2000 years ago.
I don't believe he was God....I don't believe in God.
I have a very happy life....married and still in love with the same man 32 years....a smart beautiful daughter....we have a good financial life so that we can enjoy ourselves and give some to others.
Thanks for asking.

I am happier since I walked away from Christian dogma. This doesn't mean I don't believe in Jesus. It just means that I don't think He died for my sins. I think He died to show us that we cannot die because we are eternal spirits. We just change form. I connect with God/dess through the natural world and I am finally peaceful with my understanding of life.

Believe it or not, it is possible to believe in Jesus Christ w/o having a deity involved. You can even believe in his salvation of humanity without sky daddy having anything to do with it.
