NO, They can have left handed children or children that are ambidextriouse, uses both hands well, some times one may be more dominant. Or they could have a right handed child.
My parents were both left and right handed, Im a lefty and my four older sisters, same father and mother, are all right handed,
My half brother, different dad, is a bothey, a lefty and a righty, ambidextriouse, though his father is a right handed person also, But you have to look on the out side of your immediate family when thinking of things such as this. your great great great grandmother could have been left handed, and every one else right handed and only a few children from any generation ever be left handed. or it could be more dominante and alot of them could be leftys...
When you look into the gene pool. look way back, not just closely, and do so on both of the parents sides,
My little cousin, looks nothing like her father, and barely like her mother, they were having some trust problems any ways, and when the baby was about two or three, the father loved the baby but didnt think it was his child....So my cousin, she went around asking granny and some others why the baby "when both of them had light /brown/blonde hair had dark, almost black hair, and blue eyes...well come to find out that it was the daddys fault...he had indian blood, from one of his greater relatives....Childs a spitten image of his great great great aunt...."LUCKY SHE was pretty..lol

Nope! my husband and I are right handed and we have a Daughter who is left handed and a Son who is right handed! They say the left handed child is usually very intelligent! My Daughter is now twenty and very smart (always in the top of her class) and she is in college now! If you do have a lefty just make sure you let each teacher know. They will make sure Jr has the right scissors etc.
Have fun!
Debi
PS there are millions of books on lefty's!

Not in my case, my husband and I are both right handed. We have 3 boys, our first born is left handed, our second is right handed, and the third is only 6 mos, but he shows a lot of favoritism to his left hand, with reaching, and grasping.

No. I think about 10% of people are left handed and it definitely doesn't matter what your parents are. I'm ot sure there's any real evidence as to what causes people to choose their handedness. I think it's probably mostly a genetic tendency or it's completely genetic -- although it does seem pretty randomly distributed to have that be the complete answer.

No, both of my parents are right handed and I actually ended up ambidextrous (for those who don't know what that is I can use both my right and left hands for most things--like throwing, writing, eating).
