Depends on what it is. Usually when people get older, they go back to that dumb religion their parents gave them.

When you are a child you listen to your parents. When you become an adult you are expected to use your brain.
At 18 study the Bible and other literature or whatever and decide what you think is not a dumb religion.
To be a dumb religion because your parents are is really really dumb. Then to pass that to your children is unforgiveable. Tell them at 18 decide what religion you want to be. That is someone every adult has to do for himself.

At some point, I think you have to do what's right for you. I know several people who come from Catholic families have changed religious denomination. I also know a person who almost lost her family because she left the Jehovah Witness religion.
I'm not sure what your religion is - so I hope I don't offend when I say this... but I believe there is only one true God. Your concern shouldn't be which religion is right or wrong - it should be whether or not it lines up with His word (The Bible).

No. Figure out why you believe the religion is dumb. What don't you agree with and why? Then research religions and find one that suits you. Or design your own. Tell your kids about the one you believe in, but let them make up their own minds.

I think you should deeply analize your parents religion, and if you really are not so sure that this is the best religion, you might look in another way of faith. The truth is that your parents couldnt let you grow like a little animal, without faith in some superior power.

Religion is between you and God. If you don't like the one you were born into - convert to one that you agree with. Your children should be allowed to do the same when they are old enough to understand what religion is all about. If it is forced on them they will rebel.

Your parents can't give you religion, they can either let you experience it for yourself so you make your own mind up or force it on you...
That's the same choice you've got for your kids..
It's be best to forget about religion and concentrate on Faith
Faith = True belief in God(s)
Religion = Dogmatic following of the interpreted word of Man
Easy choice in my book

If you think religion is dumb then you are obviously intelligent. Why then would you teach something unintelligent to your children? Teach them to think for themselves and not follow the crowd. They will find their own way home.

No.
You are under no obligation to pass on anything to your children you find "dumb".
You do have an obligation to teach them tolerance of all things, including the "dumb" religion of your parents and other things as well.
Let them be exposed to many things and ask many questions and find their own path.
