What is meant by this scripture is that there are many sinners in the world, waiting to hear the "Good News!" But there are to few of people with the confidence, courage, knowledge and will-power to share the "Good News" hence, to few of laborers.
The season is ripe, and now is the time to harvest, go and spread the "Good News"

The harvest is the people who need to hear the good news of Jesus, but few are telling it.

Those with pure heart and spiritual intentions are few and they are those who really work by teaching, helping and following Jesus' example. All the others, just struggle on their own net of confusion, but they will get there through several lives.

Peace!

labourers:- people tht was sent by god were only a few.
harvest:- and the people that turned to god were plenteous.
the other thing i think is:-
harvest:- there r lots of kindfull acts and helpful things to be done in this world.
labourers:- but the amount of people that r ready to work for god or labourers of ogd is only a few. there is no required people to harvest the heavently things in this world.

these r my points of view. i am not sure these r correct. please tell me if it is or not. thanks..........

The "harvest" is all of mankind. The "Laborers" are Christ's followers.

Great question! God bless you!

I believe that it means that while there are many who believe in the cause of Christ, very few will labor or "take up their cross" and "follow Him".
