Based on your post, it seems pretty clear that you are frustrated with where you life is at and are trying to suck it all up while it leaks out as anger instead of constructively figuring it out. See a counselor, probably short term, and no, that doesn't mean any disorder or illness or negative thing. It's about a little you time with an impartial person who can help you better understand you and what actions you can choose to make. If it leads to marriage issue, you can choose to try marriage counseling or not, but it'd be more beneficial if you arrived at that conclusion rationally instead of popping a fuse.

I don't read anything that suggests even depression (the disease requiring medication), just maybe some ordinary depression due to life circumstance which is the type that responds best to therapy. There's nothing in there to remotely suggest bipolar, but there are a heck of a lot of people on Yahoo that like to give that answer to every single mood issue that the poster doesn't clearly label as depression. However, there's more to you than a few words. If you suspect these might be your problem, go with a psychologist who can do a full assessment as well as talk with you about life.

~bipolar

Talk to someone about it.

I feel the same way sometimes. I get angry then just bite my husbands head of when he does something to try and make me happy. Then I go off on tangets about 3 years ago when he did something to make me mad. We had a fight the other night about it and realized that STRESS is what is causing me all this grief. Our marriage isn't in jeopardy, but it is causing MORE STRESS, so we decided to go to counseling to that I could learn to cope with stress.

If you have insurance you can talk to a psychologist, therapist, or a counselor for whatever your co-pay is, other wise it is anywhere from 75 - 175+.

IT IS WORTH IT !!!

You could put a name to it, or you could take some drugs for it but in the end it really just means you're human. All of us humans experience mood swings and doubt from time to time. Its the severity of which and how we act on them that really matters.

Some people find help from counselling whereas others don't. As long as you aren't taking it out on your wife and kids I wouldn't worry about it too much. In fact I would talk to them about it. If you prefer, talk to a friend or a professional. Take up painting or rock climbing.

We all have to find solutions to our emotional dillemas. Sometimes that requires help, sometimes just a creative solution or a change in routine. Its up to you.

Well, if you lived in a metropolitan area like around D.C., I'd say it could be the traffic issues you must deal with.....
But, bi-polar may be your problem without knowing more.
