How has our society gone so far from the beauty of love between a man and a woman, as described in the Bible; the relationship that is compared to the love that Christ has his for church: sacrificial, undying, exclusive and always seeking the best for the other.
We live in a porn culture and a culture of disposable relationships. There have been so many changes in the last 20 years. I see it, and I am only in my 30's.
How have we come so far down the road? So far away from the beauty of love between men and women?

I agree that it wasn't perfect, by any means, 20 years ago. Far from it. But I do submit that it has gotten worse.
We have been so far from the ideal for a long time. My point is that we are so far, and it is very sad.

As in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be again.... The Lord is so close to returning... And the wickedness is at its all time high... Society as a whole, has lost its morality, and Prophecy is being fulfilled... Read the book of Revelation and see all that has already taken place... The time of the Lord is at hand, and I can't stress enough to be prepared..

I know you weren't around...but you DO realize the 60's and 70's were a heck of a lot crazier than now as far as "love" is concerned.
People were carefree and happy back then...making love, not war. Remember that from history?
If anything, I think that the world has become a hateful one...with a complete lack of "love" for anyone. Everyone has love in that they love their family, friends, significant other...but I'm talking about the amount of hate towards people who just WANT to love (homosexuals), or towards anything that different.
Porn has been around for AGES....it's just become more mainstream because of cable TV and the internet. It has nothing to do with society getting worse. In fact, I bet if you could get them to be honest, the MAJORITY of your family and friends have seen or even owned some sort of pornographic material at some point in their lives.
The world has changed...yes. The love is still there. However, it's the likes of you that doesn't change with it and realize that other people who aren't man and woman, non-religious, etc. can love to that makes it seem so much worse than it really is.

Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. - 2 Peter 1:5-6
One of the key words there is self-control. We as Christians are called to be of Christian character. One of the things we must exercise is self-control. Control over our minds, our hearts and our bodies. We adulterate our relationships with our spouses by allowing our minds to dwell on an intimate relationship with anyone other than our spouse. Unfortunately that is very hard for a Christian to avoid because of the instant availability of images that encourage us to pollute our minds and spirits.
If you don't believe that to be true, especially you women, why do you get upset when your bf or husband looks a little too long at another woman, or you find something on your computer that the one you love has been looking at, instead of thinking of you. Be honest...with yourself at least, that you find that to be offensive. It's like you have a glass of the purest cleanest water that represents your relationship, and every time one of those thoughts comes about a single drop of vinegar goes into the glass. At first you could probably still drink it, but as more and more vinegar gets added, drop by drop, it becomes pretty foul. Is that how you want your relationship to "taste?"
Mahjeed... go to Matthew 16:13-17, 22:42-45, 26:45-46, especially 26:63-64. And there are many more...

Do you really think there was beauty of love 20 yrs ago? They still had porn and disposable relationships. Even 100s of years ago there was no beauty of love. People stayed in marriages out of fear. Fear of the church, fear of scorn, even when the relationship was harmful.

You have said yourself how the word 'LOVE' is exploited in this society. Porn society is down the drain and running towards the hell fire. The belief that mere beliving on Jesus can get every one in Heaven is the main problem your society has. When Jesus said "I am the way" only meant that I live as God teaches me to live as a model human so you all should live like I do. Which means I worship God (father), so you also worship God (father). Prophet Mohammad used similar words but Muslims never mistook him as God. They never worship him as God. We worship God straight without any intercessor.
Bible also reads statements of Jesus saying Worship thy Father. I don't see any where written in Bible Jesus saying, Worship me, I am the God, or I am the son of God. Christian belief we understand is based on conjecture. I have heard an Ex-Priest saying these words after he accepted Islam, did Ph.D in Islamic Studies and is now one of the well known scholars of Islam in America. His name is Omar Farooq. He is caucacian Preacher of Islam. I attended his lectures in Chicago in late senveties and early eighties. I hear now he is Professor in some university in Canada. He is not the only one that says these words. Listen to another Ex-Preacher now preaches Islam on the following web site:

Because the society that we live in has become like Sodom and Gomorrah. Men marry women yet prefer to have sex with each other. But not to worry , Christ has everything under control if you trust HIM.

The world is not changing. It was corrupt from the beginning except when GOD made it originally. Sin is becoming the way of life.

It's not easy to describe this on a single post, do some research on anthropology, you'll find it interesting.
