Because Europeans are appeasers and anti-American that is why they give the Price to left wing kooks and the likes of Yasser Arafat.

Global Warming: The Cold, Hard Facts?
By Timothy Ball
Monday, February 5, 2007
Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was one of the first Canadian Ph.Ds. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology,

I honestly feel that the Nobel Selection Committee live in a cave. Surely they must have read some of the articles disproving Gores theory, at least enough to create some doubt. Some of Gores propaganda is 180 degrees out. I have read articles by Oceanographers, Climatologists, Natural;ists and scores of other respected professionals and they all state that Gores conclusions are not based on true fact. There was a recent article quoting from 500 professionals from varied fields of study. They all challenged Gores theory. Can they all be wrong and He be right. I don't think so. Have I created some doubt ? Think about it but it won't do any good because Gore is still counting 1.5 million bucks from his inaccurate assesment.
It doesn't hurt to let these dolts know how we feel, even after the fact.
Have a good one. TR

I think you're a little confused--just because Bush denies it doesn't mean Global Warming is a fiction. The great majority of scientists agree that global warming is one of the greatest threats to Earth, and his documentary helped put that in the spotlight even more than it already was. Already the polar ice caps are melting, causing some islands in Alaska to lose up to ten feet of shoreline every year--some entire towns no longer exist, and the residents have to try to find new homes. The polar bears are on the endangered species list because the global warming is melting the areas they live in, and rely on for concealment when they hunt.
Also, the increased number of massive storms in the Atlantic are due to global warming. Warm air travels faster, and the pattern it travels from is over the Pacific, up over the Arctic, and down the Atlantic. Because the Pacific winds are faster and warmer, the Arctic winds are now much faster also, causing increased storms once the air reaches the Atlantic.
And the choice of recipients for the Nobel Peace Prize has not always been completely without controversy. In the 1970's, Yasser Arafat received the prize, even though many countries still considered him to be a terrorist. Not all of them have been Mother Teresa. I think the award was a good choice.

First off, Vice-President Gore purchases carbon offsets for his air travel (which is not always in a private jet, in fact he flies commercial when ever possible), there by not only remaining carbon neutral, but also encouraging the growth of the green economy. Second, he won the award the same way anyone does, the Norwegian Noble Committee from amongst those names put into nomination selected him. The Noble Committee is autonomous, though appointed by the Norwegian parliament, and are able to award it to pretty much anyone they please. This year, they chose to award it to Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. As for why, the Noble Committee clearly views the environment as a humanitarian issue and has chosen to recognize the IPCC as a body and Al Gore specifically for their efforts in this area. That's their prerogative.

Sometimes I have crazy dreams, and I had thought that I had just dreamed this. I can't believe it really happened. And I have no idea how it did happen. I guess my next project will be to look into the NPP selection procedures. They have made a couple of what I considered to be blunders before, but this one is absolutely unbelievable.
Yes, this action definitely decreases the legitimacy of the NPP in my opinion, and in those of many I have spoken to about it. I feel sick, just thinking about it, as many people who have never before given the global warming theory much thought will now automatically buy into it just because of this award. And the ultimate joke about the whole thing is that AG is just the figurehead for the whole "documentary". (I guess I have misunderstood the meaning of the word, documentary. I thought that it referred to the print or media presentation of some FACTUAL information for which the validity had been DOCUMENTED objectively.
I would ask, "Has the world gone mad?" except I already know that it has indeed.

Why do some still want to smear Al Gore even after he was cheated out of his presidency. Let us suppose that some of the documentary was exaggerated like the hole in the sky global warming and all the rest. But you must admit that it is happening now and dire consequences is following in its wake as a result. Just because some ppl can't stand him for the gentleman that he is even when he was cheated and now even wants to cheat him out of a Nobel Prize. What kind of ppl are you anyway. Did I say ppl ? I am just being polite.

Is the Republican Governor of California (Arnold Schwarzeneger) a left wing fanaticist? Surely if he believes the science about Global Warming there must be some foundation to it? I havent seen Al Gore's movie but I think its good that he has moved on from his defeat in the 2000 Presidential race and found a place where he can have some influence. As to the NPP - guess its nice to get a gong whereever you get it from.

First, to the young lady who heard on some news channel that Hitler and Stalin won, it must of been Fox news, because it never happened.
Second, that 'false and divisive' documentary' has pushed the world wide problem that needs immediate work is favored by 60 percent of the Republicans. Overall, 75 percent of Americans believe that global warming is real and need immediate attention.

There are alot of sad pathetic kool aid drinkers. Do some people really take gores propaganda as truth? Great Britains courts have found multitudes of factual errors in this michael moore wanna be global warming pimps film. If he believed his own bs he wouldn't fly around the world in private jet, he wouldn't bring a caravan of SUVs with him everywhere, and his mansion would not use 20 times the amount of energy that an average home uses.
For you kool aid drinkers there is an easy $120,000 for you to make by scietifically proving that man is causing global warming at junkscience.com.
Mars is warmer but I thought the Mars rover was battery powered so man couldn't be causing that. The Earth has come out of several ice ages with no SUVs involved.
