your cars value means nothing till you pull it into the lot, then they will tell you what they will give, not what it's worth, and depending on that, then you can see how much u have, and roll from there, and a lot of dealers don't sell two cars to the same person, but it depends on where you go to buy and trade in your car ultimately

Depends on where you're getting that $15,000 value for your car. A dealer will not give you anywhere near retail value on a trade-in. The only way they give you $15k for your car is if they can list it retail for around $20k. Doing a straight across car swap doesn't make the dealer any money up front, so unless they're expecting a big windfall from your trade-in they may not be interested. That or they'll try their best to pressure you into getting something more expensive.

You can get the wholesale value of the car you are trading in. Then you can apply that amount toward the retail value of the cars you wish to purchase. You might be able to trade your car for two cars valued at $6000 each. The dealer needs some room to make a profit when he sells your trade in.

Why not hold out and sell them both privately? Thats the only way your going to get close to what they're worth.

NO.

BECAUSE MOST DEALERSHIPS DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR VEHICLE IS WORTH THEY ARE GOING TO LOW BALL YOU ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT.

THE ONLY WAY THAT THIS COULD WORK IS IF YOU TRADE SOMETHING IN WORTH ABOUT $25,000 THEN THEY WOULD WORK WITH YOU.
