The man is dead and buried (if he ever actually existed).
That's a very good reason he hasn't returned apart from the fact that gods do not exist.

That is a very simple thing to answer. God has given us more time than we deserve to repent and be saved. The Bible declares that God is not willing that any should perish but that all men should come to repentance.
For the wickedness in the world through the ages God could have easily destroyed the world and everyone in it at any time if He so chose, but His love and mercy continues to this day to reach out to those who will repent of their sin and turn to Him for salvation.
The time is coming when that door will be shut forever as the Bible declares that God's Spirit will not always strive with man. At that point in time all who will come to Christ will have done so, and time will be swallowed up in eternity.
It is our responsibility to repent and turn to God before the "great and terrible day of the Lord." The Bible asks the question, "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" The answer has been provided - it is our individual responsibility to find it and respond to it.

God didn't make the world within 6 days. The scriptures are allegorical and not a literal history book. The events written in the scriptures are/and take place in the mind of the seeker. They have very little use when read literally, as any man can see his own doctrine in the literal letter. But there is only one way to utilize them and thats to use the scriptures as the keys of knowledge and turn them within, you must manifest Yeshua within you.
Peace

You do realize it's not really 6 days right? I don't think Christianity has been preached all over the world yet. Some tribes in Uganda - I think that is one of the places - just found out about Jesus and they are printing bibles for them.

Be very thankful that you are waiting and that Jesus is tarrying so that many of the lost can come to Christ. Remember that Jesus said that Scripture would all be fufilled and so far that has not happened. It won't be long my friend, because He must return and renew this earth because it is becoming a mess.

Part of His preparing a place is that we have to complete the assignment He left for us. I'm sure the place has been ready for 2000 some yrs, as you said, He spoke the world into existence. But we stubborn clueless humans have twiddled our thumbs and fought amongst ourselves for all these years. When Jesus prayed for His people toward the end of His life, He prayed that we might be unified. Do you see that happening? Anywhere? Anytime?? I don't. Even within the individual church there is division and fighting. Not to mention between denominations. We need to start focusing on being united instead of on being right. If we all rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us, we WILL come together and be one. I'm sure there are other things, but that is one obvious one I can see.

2 Peter 3:7-9 (King James Version)
(verse 8) is a golden nugget to your ? and 9 is His mercy for all mankind!!!!
7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The LORD, is waiting for all those who will be saved to repent. What that exact number is only GOD knows. Just imagine If He came now, how many souls would be lost!. On the contrary, GOD is a patient, and merciful GOD,and He is giving people a Chance, while they are alive to be saved. Then, the LORD will return.
WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!

Jesus is waiting on everyone to be saved that will be saved first. He wants no one to perish. That is why it is taking so long. It's because man is taking so long to repent. The gospel has to be preached in all the nations before He will come back, so everyone will have a chance to hear it, or of it. Prophecy has to be fulfilled first.

Whattaya mean "WE"?!?!
Some of us have already figured out that it's just a fairy tale...
Besides which, Jesus also supposedly said that Judgment Day would occur within the lifetime of at least "some" of his followers (hence the myth of the Wandering Jew, to try to provide a loophole for this prophecy that most definitely did not come to pass...)

He also told us that when he returned, "...we would not know the hour. I will return as a thief in the night..." I believe I paraphrased rather than quote. He will return when He is supposed to return and we will not know when He is supposed to return. Just that we are to be ready when He does return. Have faith. He said He would return and He will.
