I just painted my walls in my home, and I taped the ceilings so I would have a straight, even line. But when I took off the tape It was not straight and some of the paint came off with the tape... it looks really bad, does anyone have tips to make it look better?

you can get different types of tape try using low tack tape, even when you use tape to get the "perfect line" don't cake the tape in paint as this might cause some to seep into the tape edge, also don't leave the tape on for long periods take it of when you have just painted and when your done peal away slowly other than that just practice without tape with a good quality brush

Also, do not leave the tape on too long. You should be peeling the tape of 1-3 hours after completion and before the paint has had a chance to fully dry or you will experience the chipping you saw when removing.

get a bias cut brush from the hardware store. A 1-1 1/2inch brush cut on an angle. Practice painting a straight line. then repaint. You can also use the blue tape that isn't as sticky so doesn't remove the paint when removed. Or they make a paint guide that looks like a 12" piece of blinds that you hold up to protect the side you don't want painted.
