As soon as there appears to be a definite indicator that kissing and hugging just ain't hacking it for one of the partners. At the first indication of heavy petting, it should be made clear that is as far as it goes until marriage.

I would let them know immediatly. some people are willing to do that others arent. I'd expect the same.
