Animal control or if it is interfering with traffic or a hazard, you can actually call 911 and they will dispatch a truck to clear it.

You could also call the non-emergency number for the local police if it is not blocking or interfering with traffic and they will either handle it of direct you to the department that does.

I thought I was the only one that cared about things like this. Thanks for showing me humanity is not lost.

Just call 911. I did that and they got it all taken care of. The funny thing is, I hit a deer on the highway a year ago and it totaled my car. To help others from the piece of roadkill on the road, I did the responsible thing and ordered to get it picked up by the Sanitation thing. They fined me. I had to pay $85 to get somebody to pick up some dead crap from the road!

Where I live a person can usually call the Sheriff or Game Warden. We in the country and it pretty laid back and people not get technical over who supposed to do it. Usually I just do it, if it large like a deer, being careful not to get run over by someone.

The DOT - if it is on a state highway
The county garage if it is on county maintained roads.
