I was going to be a music major in college but thought about nursing too. I prayed about it and decided that my music was the fun stuff so could still keep it but on the side. The nursing was more of service and would be more stable financially. Yours in not exactly the same but will just give you my thoughts. Nursing has so many different choices and does give you the ability to support yourself. There are so many hurting people...and not all nurses are good. I took my friend to an outpatient procedure a few weeks ago. She was so nervous. The nurse came in and asked questions, started her IV and took vital signs. She was very proficient and professional. She started to leave but then turned around and said...."I am a Christian, if you would like me to, I would love to pray for you." My friend cried all the way through that prayer. My cheeks were wet too. What a witness! I am just saying that opportunities to help are in both areas that you mention. Now, here is my best advice....what God Himself says.
"God is not the author of confusion, but of peace." 1 Cor. 14:33
" In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He SHALL direct thy path." Prov. 3:6
Claim that promise for yourself!
I will pray that God will make things very clear to you and will open the right doors and shut the wrong ones. You have an exciting journey ahead. Stay close to Jesus.

Wow! You sound like an amazing soldier for the Lord. I can definatly relate to your situation. It's tough deciding what path in life to take, there are so many options. But please....DO NOT LIMIT YOURSELF! If you want to do 5 different things, then do 5 different things!!! I do not at all think you are following the path of satan. Whatever career is laying heavy on your heart is the one that God wants you to. I am a believer that only God can get into your heart, satan can only get into your mind. Weather you become a nurse or start a charity foundation, both are helping people, and that is a wonderful christian attribute, and God will definatly shine through you in either of those paths. If you are looking for a special prayer to say I would just ask God to put in your heart the career that he wants you to take. And whatever lays heavy on your heart is the one to go with. Either way God will look down and be so proud of you because you are doing good to help the needs of others. God will always guide you in the right direction, he will not abandon you or steer you wrong, keep the faith in the Lord and wherever you end up, is exactly where he wants you to be, even when your not sure where your are being guided, just follow him, and remember the meaning of faith......
Hebrews 11:11
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do.
Best of luck in choosing your path, follow Jesus Christ and all will be ok:)

ok, i bypass to bypass a diverse direction with this by using actuality i've got have been given self assurance that quicker or later each and every person want a undeniable prayer from the two a stranger or a chum. i bypass to assume which you extremely prefer to popular if there's a undeniable prayer for Christians. Prayer is speaking to God on a one to one beginning. it extremely is not a sequence of written words exceeded down by utilising using some mediator (minister, pastor, priest, rabbi). basically as you're waiting to talk to a chum you may refer to God. It does no longer get to any quantity greater desirable particular than that. in all probability i'm way off the direction in this one yet theory i might desire to located my 2 cents correct nicely worth in any admire.

I hear you sister. I am going to school for the second time to be a paramedic. I also have a heart for helping other people.I don't know for sure if that is God's will for me or not, cuz I failed the first time so I thought maybe that wasn't God's will for me, but then I had a friend tell me maybe it just wasn't God's time for me to do that yet, but my heart is really telling me to pursue it, so I figure God is in my heart and that is were my heart is, go for it, so I am, and unless I know that I know that it is not God's will I am going to pursue it. God knows the desires of our hearts, pray ask God to reveal to you what his will is for you.God bless and I hope this helped.

Your thinking is alhumdulillah is very good. You should help poor people the world needs that. There are a lot of people in this world who dont have food to eat dont have water to drink. If you send me your email address so i will send you a file about the people who dont have food for many years. So, i think this is a good step for the poor people and for your own life.
Good Luck!

Gracious God, at times my days run together into weeks, into months, into years without any conscious thought on my part. Then, suddenly I come to myself in the space of a moment and realize how unaware and without purpose I have been. Yet, when I try to define my purpose, it seems strangely elusive. What did you have in mind when you breathed the breath of life into me? I ask that you will give me clarity of purpose; that you will reveal to me my own reason for existence; that you will give me the sure and certain assurance that even when I have lost track of myself and my life, your purpose, though unknown to me or forgotten by me, is still being lived out through me. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.

I find that praying the psalms is very beneficial. If you are seeking a path in life pray psalm 25 through or psalm 34. Just speak it aloud and make it your own, Psalm 27 is also a very good one as is psalm 145.
If you start a habit of praying a psalm a day it will get you more familliar with them and can find your own favorties. Also finding a verse that heps you particularly and memorizing it is very good.
