Have you ever notice a question will read something to the effect of " Attention all Christians...", then as soon as a Christian answers they receive a bunch of thumbs down. Why ask a particular group of people something about their beliefs if you don't want them to explain their beliefs?

To jbelchsw: I'm sorry to hear that, it must be very hard to be a young man disconnected from his home and parents. As a Christian, I believe God never gives us more that we can bare, try trusting Him and His son Jesus, He is the only one who can take the hurt away :)

Even though some of the questions are to try to make us look bad, when we give and answer from God's word it glorifies him.

Also, when messages are posted here, you may see a few people posting back, but I am sure many others are reading then are posting. Perhaps just observing.

True Christians are the light of the world, in an open forum like that people will see maybe there is something worth looking into deeper about the Bible, and Spiritual matters.

I ask Christians questions to get them to think. Chances are I already know most of the typical Christians responses. I know more about Christianity than the average Christian does. So explaining to me about their religion or their beliefs does nothing for either of us. I ask questions in attempt to pry their minds open so that they may learn to think for themselves. If they refuse to think and instead choose to insult my intelligence with a stupid answer, thumbs down is likely to occur.

I only know this:
Jesus Christ taught us to love our neighbors. Can anyone argue that the world would not be a better place if we all followed this greatest commandment? I am a Catholic, which means I am a Christian above all else. I hope everyone can follow this teaching of Jesus, whether you are Christian or not.

If you would like to know more about my faith, I suggest that you go to Catholic Answers at http://www.catholic.com and then look at the left sidebar: You will see many subjects. You can click on one and see tracts that will answer your questions. Also, the search engine searches 20 years worth of articles from "This Rock" magazine. There are a lot of great articles there too

The"official" Catechism Of The Catholic Church is online at: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/entiretoc1.htm
This is a difficult document to read. (The book is about three inches thick!) But, there is a wealth of information there too if you take the time to learn how to navigate it.

May the Lord our God bless you and keep you, and cause His Face to shine upon you.

I believe they really want answers or they wouldn't ask it...they might just want to make sure that is what the Christian believes as they are being challenge in their own personal faith. I can say this from personal experience.

That would be silly. There is no point asking a certain group a question and not wanting their answer.

Exactly. I think they really do but don't like the truth. Lies feel better. The truth gets better results.
