It is half cream and half milk (cows milk). You need to use something similar, goats milk or whatever. It will taste better if you use milk that has a high fat content. When you milk a cow or goat, the cream is on top, it is lighter but higher in fat. If you milk a cow or goat, just use that same portion as called for in the recipe. The idea is to make it creamy tasting. Hope this helps.

It is sold in the dairy section of most grocery stores, and it is basically half cream and half milk. If you cannot find it locally, just combine equal amounts of cream and milk and you will have Half and Half.

Well, umm......it kinda depends. If it is an ingrediant, it's like cream, but it's half cream, half milk, so it's not so heavy. This is available at almost any food store, including many drug stores that sell things like drinks, coffe and ice cream.

But if it is not an ingrediant, than half and half would mean that you use half one thing and and half another. For instance, if the recipe asked you to: "Combine last two ingrediants, half and half; save the rest for later" then that would mean to put half of each in the recipe, and but aside the other half. Good luck on your soup! Sounds delicious.

Half and Half is a CREAM...It is half milk, half cream. Its pretty expensive so you can make your own if you want. Plenty of recipes in books or on the net!
You can even take a dry creamer and mix it with milk. If you dont want to use half and half, you can use pure cream, just makes it richer....or you can use plain milk, and add some creamora.....

My guess is that you are in the UK? If so it is quite reasonable that you have never heard of half and half. Basically it is equal measures of milk and cream. simple as that.
