I try my best to be a good person and treat others with the kindness and respect that we all deserve, but I see so much bad in the world. People constantly do bad things and hurt themselves and others. When I see things like this, I feel frustrated and begin to question the point of being a good person. How can we stop people from doing bad things? Can we still lead rich and decent lives in such a troubled world? How? I am not a Christian and I don't believe in heaven or hell, but I want to live a noble life, I just don't think that's possible in this world. What are your thoughts?

OK sure I can keep living a good life, but how do I make others lead good lives. Its no good to sit on a pedestal and be good while the world around you falls apart. I can be good, I know this but how can I convince others to be good. If people around me are doing wrong am I suppossed to just think 'Well I'm being good so it doesn't matter', That seems like a very conceited attitude to me.

Why do what is right? You know the answer, because of how it makes you feel inside. In the end, you have to know there is at least on person whose word can be trusted, your own. You can’t do much to change the world, but you can be the change you want to see in it.
You know who you are. Just live up to that. Good luck, it is hard to live an ethical life, but so rewarding.

you cant make people live good lives.... you dont have the power.... iam sorry to hear you are not a beliver in christ that makes me sad.... but on another note it dosent matter how noble you are or how good you are .... it is a known fact good people die and go to hell evry day...... works alone are empty.... i hope you see that and i would love to discuss this with you in great detail.... through im or email whatever.... gods plan for salvation is very simple.... so simple kids can understand it an have faith in jesus thi world will do all it can to disprove god ..... an it is easy to be confused ..... good luck with all this life throws at you...

Very touchy question ! If you dint find answer in Christianity try Islam as an another perspective sincerely . It is possible in this world. Even if the whole world is not good , you have to be good to perform your own responsibility as an individual . Every individual is accountable for his or her deeds in this world. If every individual think to do his or her own responsibility, this world would really become a peaceful world.

YOU just keep being the way you are... and don't concern yourself about others... God will bless YOU... as an individual... and not as a crowd... it is possible, even today... Don't change because the world is... Don't turn to evil because the world does... You just keep on being how you are. And just pray for those you love and who know love you...
