Is the train station near the airport?

The airport is in Deurne, not so far away from Antwerp but not "near" the station... you'll have to take a bus ... (Bus route 14 from De Lijn provides a regular connection with the stations Antwerpen-Berchem and Antwerpen-Centraal; see http://www.antwerp-airport.be/contentpage_en.php)

No there's not a train near the airport, there's a bus lead you to the central station of ANTWERP and from there 2 times in a hour is a train that's going to GENT :Gent Dampoort & Gent Sint pieters.
Good choise you take Gent is a beautiful city.

approx 45 mins from Antwerp to Ghent and the rains run regularly every 20 mins or so.
