If yes, you believe in something that cannot be "proven"! That is FAITH! I happen to believe in God AND life on other planets.

I believe in the possibility too. As all things are possible with God.

I certainly believe it is possible. I even think there is some evidence to support the idea.

I would disagree that it can't be proven...an alien ship showing up at my house from a distant planet would be pretty good proof...at least for the people that saw it happen. I've certainly heard stories from people that believe something like that happened to them! Of course, I believe the same thing about God...I believe he can and does "prove" his existence to people...however, we all have different perceptions about what it means to "prove" something!

What would it take for the whole world to accept that there is "proof" of life on other planet...I don't know...if aliens showed up at the White House and addressed the world on CNN, would everyone accept that as "proof" of their existence?...or, would some people, such as those that believe the entire moon landing was staged, believe that it was a conspiracy? ...and what about God...if he addressed the world on CNN and provided undeniable proof of his existence and power, how many people would think it was a trick or a setup?

Ha...funny. I read the first line of your question and thought - "Well it's not a belief exactly, cos there's no way to prove that other than to go through every one..." I'd say that I don't believe the Earth is terribly special. I mean, it's amazing and awesome and confusing of course, but there are an almost ridiculous number of planets out there. Given that life arose here (however you believe it did that), it seems statistically likely that it probably arose elsewhere too. That's about as much as I can definitively say about it.

Yes. I do believe in life on other planets. Astronomers are finding Earth like planets in other solar systems. It is just a matter of time before we meet our brothers and sisters in other galaxies.

I believe that life on other planets is a distinct possibility. I would even bet some money on it. But it is not proven and I don't "BELIEVE" in it.

I happen to believe in god, but I don't believe in life on other planets - we may be it,all there is, the whole point of everything, or not. We are definately not alone - there is 6.3 billion of us - how much more flock to do you want god to supervise?

Yes, I too believe in it like you do. I think you student of Metaphysics, or at least a curious seeker of truth. The great Gurus of India have said that we must ask the fundamental questions to ourselves like, "Who am I?", "Who created this earth?", Was there a beginning to this?, What is my purpose in life?" etc...Your Q, seems to me, is in alignment with those fundamental questions which arises from the natural curiosity within us. Gurus also advise that those questions will be answered not from the intellect but from within, perhaps in meditation, in attunement with God...If you are interested in such metaphysical studies then you pay look for books of Paramahansa Yogananda. May God bless you.

I think I do. I'm not certain as I have no evidence for or against really.

However, from a mathematical standpoint its' almost impossible that we are the only life in the universe.

What kind of life is out there on the other hand is a bigger question...

I believe in the possibility. That doesn't take any faith, because a possibility is not a certainty.
