Yes Congrats. The man even gave away the prize money to fight global warming.
I bought 4 copies of An Inconvenient Truth and gave them away to people who need a clue.

Congrats to Al Gore, and more so to the IPCC. I'm glad they also awarded it to the scientists, who did the real work. I appreciate that Gore has made the scientific evidence accessible to the public, but the scientists deserve most of the credit.
This is a great award because it gives even more credibility to the anthropogenic global warming acknowledgement "movement" (for lack of a better word), and draws more attention to the issue.

it's recognition. Recognition means A Gore is not alone. Of course he was never alone when so many scientists agree or support him. But he was alone on the front lines (speaking out). Being on the front lines is tough when so many will debunk and argue with you. For him, it may be politics as usual. (the mud slinging) But it's tough.

i congratulate Al Gore for reaching so many people and uniting them in a common cause namely the plight of Humanity as a whole.
Lets hope it affects the peace on the planet as well ,and that remains to be seen ,so many factors are edging towards WAR.for obscure and obvious ulterior motives.
Lets hope this award lends more weight to his cause, and this includes thousands of people ,Al Gore is an operative figure head and a successful one.this award belongs to all of them as well.
But somehow PEACE seems to be the wrong label ,Global awareness is more appropriate.

Absolutely!
I cant way t hear how all the critics of global climate change will spin this.
Nobel prize is corrupt maybe? I mean..Dhali Lama, Carter, Doctors w/o boarders, Desmond Tutu...what good are these people any way? This prize is obviously just a left wing attempt to forward their agenda of Peace and security for mankind. you must be blind not to see that the Nobel prize is nothing but a scam, just like global warming....
That is sarcasm for all the dimwits out there....

No.....ask yourself why scare people with GW and then unpopular nuclear power is pushed as the solution. Most of all ask why Al Gore is saying nuke power is green and he is backed by the nuclear power industry...these questions need to be addressed before anyone says well done....

Congrats Al Gore! Thanks for all your wonderful work!
I think winning the award helps because many people who haven't seen Gore talk about the environment and/or seen his movie realize what he has done.
I mean, the Nobel Peace Prize is big. Anyone who wins has to have done something pretty significant. This will open people's eyes a bit.

He beat a guy who saved a bunch of Jews from the holocaust.
Maybe that guy should have made a fictional docu-drama instead.
neither the man or the award are credible.
