Shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, Caesar salad, & garlic bread.
You can probably find the shrimp already cooked or at least peeled and deveined. That will cut down on some of the time. Buy a good Alfredo sauce and then all you have to do is cook the pasta and mix it all together. You can buy prepackaged Caesar salad and the best Caesar dressing is the Paul Newman brand. Its sooo delicious! Buy a frozen loaf of garlic bread so all you have to do is throw it in the oven.
If you're over 21, a bottle of Ballatore Gran Spumante is a nice touch. Its a sparkling wine, but it doesn't have that tart taste that a lot of wines have and that a lot of people don't like. Get a couple of candle sticks and voila...you have a romantic dinner that can be prepared in about 45 minutes or less.

If you aren't much of a cook, perhaps you should pick up some good take out, and a nice bottle of wine, some stawberries or something for desert.
You might be more relaxed than if you are stressing over how well dinner comes off.

Honestly? Nothing with garlic or onion, and nothing fishy, because they make your breath smell. Aside from that.... anything can be romantic, but you just have to present it right. Just make sure that it is something that you can cook well, and something that you have cooked before.

Swiss/Gueyere and white wine Cheese fondue (served with blanched veggies, bread sticks, even cooked meats). And chocolate fondue for dessert (served with pretzels, pound cake, starberries, dried fruits). A very sexy dinner for 2!!

How about salmon and vegetable?
De-bone the salmon by running your finger along the center and picking with tweezers, any bones you feel.
Lightly salt and pepper both side of the pepper.
Pan fry both sides with olive oil.
Cut up red peppers, zucchinis, and corn kernels in olive oil. Salt and pepper. (use it as side)
It's easy and very nice color combination. You can use the side (vegetable part) as garnish to decorate your plate.
