ok so my boyfriend went to a party last saturday without me because my mom wouldn't let me go so he tells me that he met this girl and that she sat on his lap the whole time but i mean i know its not like cheating but isn't it kind of messed up and lately things haven't been going so well i've been considering a break whats your opinion plzzzzz????

This is just my opinion. It seems a little sketchy but nothing worth taking action on yet. That's kind of strange that he would have a girl sit on his lap the whole time while he's involved with someone else. I would say him and that other girl definitely have some sort of connection, whether he acts on it time will tell.

Well, he needs to put himself in your shoes. Would he be pissed if YOU were sitting on a guys lap all evening???
Cheating? Not technically, but come on! If he were that into you or really took his relationship to heart, he wouldn't let another women pass his "Personal Space". You know, that space that only certain people can be a part of.
He could have said to her nicely: “Excuse me, I have a girlfriend, so could you please sit somewhere else”? Seems like he was just as comfortable w/ her sitting on his lap as she was!!!

I agree with Carol and John. That aint right. If the shoe was on the other foot, how would he feel if you were all up on some guy's lap at a party? Come on!

Why was there a girl sitting on your boyfriend's lap... and why didn't he remove her? I wouldn't consider it physical cheating but it sure is disrespectful. Sounds to me like he's testing you to see how much you will put up with. If I were you I'd tell him that you won't tolerate disrespect like that.

well you ahve to givem kudos for telling you. but its not cheating but its disrespectful. but you have to look at it like this. if you was to go to a party would you have danced on a guy or talked to one. now if he taking it another level if he is talking to the female because it should stayed at the party. if you take a break he may not come back so ask him if it is someone else he wants then go from that.

Well i think its messed up that having a gf he lets some other chick sit on his lap! That aint cheating but it just aint right either...If u really like him dont let him go cuz u just might not get him back....

no man it aint cheating but he knew that if u heard from someone else u might be pissed,, so he told u,, hes trying to be a faithfull guy,,,,, cut him some slack on that point,,,,
but if u want a break for other reasons then u should really consider it,, becuz your heart n happinesss is most important to u,,,

I wouldnt consider this cheating, but he shouldnt have let her sit on his lap, he should of told her I have a girlfriend and I'd appreciate it if you didnt sit on my lap, so you should have a talk with him and see if he loves you or not

Sound like he is telling all YOU need to know.
If she sat on his lap there was probably kissing , stroking, other things he will not tell you.
I would have a serious talk and then find someone else.

Well, he told you about it so he probably does not consider it cheating....but if you sat in some other guy's lap, how would he feel about that?
