No, because Jesus wasn't the Messiah. He never fulfilled the prophesies. In fact, they are still waiting for him to come back and fulfill them.

This is a story from Star Trek - Episode 149: Rightful Heir:

Where they take the blood of Kalus , the Klingon ‘ messiah ‘, from the sacred knife and cloned him.

They then teach the clone all the religious secrets and of course the DNA proves he is the real Kalus .

Of course he was not the real Kalus and a cloned Jesus would not be the real Jesus , just a clone.

You should read the "Miricle Strain" by Michael Cordy if you like fantasy DNA stories like that.

But in answer to you question, no. It might look like Him but there would be no life experiences in it only an empty brain. The body of Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit which of course does not have DNA.If it could be done you would simply have a shell.

There is Jesus DNA in the blood on the Turin Shroud, but no! they won't ever be able to clone Him from it, and even if it were possible, a clone is only like an identical twin, it is not the same person.

You know, there's a book about this by the guy who wrote Fight Club. Well, kind of. This woman (supposedly, I won't ruin the plot) steals a relic of Jesus's foreskin from a monastery and somehow impregnates herself with it. Interesting stuff.

Hypothetically though, I'm going to say no. I don't know why though, I can't say I'm an expert on how God-DNA would work.

Most Christian's probably wouldn't accept him as such. Some people actually believe that a cloned human being would have no soul. What a massive assumption that is!

The only difference between an ordinary human and a messiah is perception, so sure, the clone could be a messiah if people started fdllowing him and calling him 'messiah'.

If Jesus (assuming he existed) were cloned, then as a human he would poo, wee, pick his nose, dewax his ears, vomit and get morning wood. Could people cope with a messiah who did all these disgusting things?

No he wouldn't be the Messiah just a very naughty boy.

The clone wouldn`t last long enough to grow up.. The church would see to that, because they wouldn`t want him to start telling the truth!!!

And it's absolutely possible to do... although finding Jesus' hair brush might be a problem after all these years.
