First of all Christianity has not all been about that, and there are so many branches of Christianity, that it will depend on which on he was thinking of. Well, I'm not a Christian radical extremist, but i do believe in respecting other people's faith.

Religions as institutions or churches are game, but one should not attack Christians as a whole as child abusers and killers, and well prejudice exist in every religion and country in the world.
Look neither you or I or the next guy can pretend to begin to understand what someone like jesus would say or think because someone so wise it's just in a whole other
level compare to you and I.
so all can say is we should star looking at what individual people do instead of blaming entire groups people.
I'm Venezuelan, but i don't want to be judge by Chavez, and what he says or does, and i don't think I should because i can't control him, just like he can't control me.
get it.

Good luck in this life, cause you'll need it
peace

GOOD Question for sure! I would think he would be more dissapointed in the amount of people that know how they should be and still DO NOT CARE or BELIEVE IN HIM..
Please hear me out! I see you are an atheist,,,,,but thats ok ..for some reason you do not believe in HIM and I do not want to shove religion down your throat ,,,,I just feel that now a days too many are being greedy and listening and doing things for their own pleasures and Not even trying to be the person they were made to be...
There was always evil and I feel it's not as much as in the old days but they were not as knowlegeable and ways to communicate and learn as we do now....It was due to Ignorance...now it's due to just plain I DON'T CARE !!!!
There is much good in the world still ,,,and I think He would be happy with many still..we just hear about all the bad things more often since that makes the headlines way more often than any good news....

He would ashamed of what most Christians have done with their lives.Remember not all who claim to be Christians are. It takes more than naming the name of Christ to be a Christian. Christ said anyone who would hurt a little child would better off to have a mill stone tied around their neck a cased into the sea. If somebody can do evil and nothing happens to them you can almost bet their not a Christian. Because God will whip his children. All truly born again christian most stand before Christ and give an account of what we did in the flesh after we where born again.

I am also a non-believer. However, the followers of what Christ (allegedly) taught are wonderful people, as are those who follow what Mohamed (allegedly) taught.

It is those who abuse religion or their positions within the church who should be ashamed. They have strayed from the taught lessons of those two great religions and adulterated them for either political or personal motives.

Anyone who lives their life according to proper Christian or Islamic beliefs are placid people, at peace with both themselves and the world. And, if the whole world was run by the principles of these great faiths peace would reign.

Amen.

There is a difference between what Jesus preached and what his so-called followers did. Jesus could not be blamed on what happened after His death. If you read His teachings, there are no riddles there that will create confusion or chaos. He spoke in plain parables and stories that can be understood by everyone. The men who refuse to understand these teachings are the ones who instigate the confusion.
When Jesus said "LOVE ONE ANOTHER", we should love another. Some people do it wrong, they "LOVE ANOTHER ONE" instead of "LOVE ONE ANOTHER".

Thought provoking question. Jesus would be ashamed of what has been done in His name in the past 2000 years.

Let's see.
Christianity has spread God's Word throughout the world, helped counted millions of people in disasters even when governments were fighting over which country shoud help out,
Helped homeless, sick and dying people, etc. etc.

And you complain about the actions of a few bad people who MIGHT call themselves Christian but show no signs that they are so. And you have the audacity to bunch all Christians along side with them?

Wow.
Let me say this...assuming you are not a Christian, Jeffrey Dahmer was not a Christian either......so.............In my book that would make you a cannibal just like him. Is that true?
Yes that is a dumb statement........but still not as dumb as the one you made my freind.

I imagine it depends upon whether you are speaking of the true Christianity that Jesus himself introduced or the pseudo-Christianity that was introduced by his enemy. Compare please Matthew 13:24-29; Matthew 13:36-43. Verse 43 shows whether Jesus would be proud or ashamed.

Ashamed. I just keep thinking back to the black guy that beat up some frail Russian dude at a rest stop because he wouldn't buy a Bible.

I REALLY think he'd be ashamed.

My guess is he would nail himself to the Cross. If he came back today, he would not recognise 'Christians' as followers of his teaching.
If he started to preach as he did then, he would stand a good chance of ending up in Guantanamo.
But there's plenty of soap and water available in Washington DC, for all that washing of hands.
