I don't know exactly how many feet or yards are in a mile, but I'm accustomed to it and I know what a mile feels like. Kilometers suck!

The rest of the world has been infected by the Devil! We are the U.S.A. and therefore always right about everything!

Yes thats right... almost every other country in the world is wrong to use the metric system. The US is the only country thats right by holding onto an outdated and less accurate system. You yanks crack me up.

mm... if you want to go with a theological argument, saying the metric system is a creation of the devil is saying that the natural world is the creation of the devil. The metric system is based on natural occurrences. A meter is 1/10000000 of the distance from the poles to the equator. A milliliter is one cm cubed. A degree Celsius is 1/100 the difference between the boiling and freezing point of water at sea level. Need I go on?
Plus calculations in metric are immeasurably easier because it's all based on 10's. And if it weren't for our continued use of the obsolete Imperial system, the Mars orbiter would have orbited rather than crashed.
Think about what you say before you say it, and stop blaming the rest of the world for your own unwillingness to change.
Get used to Metric, Imperial is on it's way out, and rightfully so.

LOL. That's like the English saying that the rest of the world drives on the 'wrong side of the road'. The metric system makes more sense. 1000 meters = kilometer. What is the mile? Foot? Yard?

You might as well take the 'little bit' of time to figure it out because there teaching it in our schools and pretty soon we will also be living the metric system. It's not very hard. Don't be afraid of a little change for the good. Also, why get so upset at something so petty?

Bah, humbug. The metric system rocks. It's you primitive folk who stick to the imperial system that are a source of constant embarrasment. Did you know that the only other countries apart from America that haven't officially switched to metric are Burma and Liberia? Users of imperial are just plain silly.

As Grandpa Simpson would say
The metric system is the tool of the devil. My car gets forty rods to the hogs head and that's the way I likes it

What's so hard about 1760 yards per mile, 3 feet per yard, 12 inches per foot, and then dividing each inch by halfs, quarters, eights, sixteenths, 32nds, and 64ths? I'd much rather convert Farenheit to celcius and add 273 to do temperature math than base it on absolute zero.

No, worse than Satan, the French.
Don't worry about the road signs, most of us in Canada pay no attention at all to them.
