I really feel sorry for Sir Paul McCartney, he was truly in love with Heather Mills and so therefore found no need to sign a pre-nuptial agreement, and now he is being taken to the cleaners regarding this huge amount of money that looks like going in the way of his X. I think Heather Mills is a money grabber, and I do not believe one little bit about Sir Paul supposedly beating her during their marriage. Sir Paul now needs to take a back seat and enjoy the rest of his life, after all he has helped fill our collections with some wonderful pieces of music. Take care Sir Paul.

Dear jasmin x,
I never said I knew he didn't hit her, what I said was I do not believe that he would have, and we are all entitled to our own opinions.

I find it strange how she's trying to hide herself from cameras where as Paul is just going about with his head held high. I can understand in situations where one person is being or has been bullied/beaten they could feel low and withdrawn, but she has always come across as strong and willing to deal with things head on. So why all the mystery?

I honestly don't believe Paul did what she said, and even if he did, dragging him through the media mud isn't going to change anything or help anyone. She's clearly out for a few bob and doesn't care who she hurts in the process. Women who have suffered domestic violence should be wary. It's people like her who make it difficult for the one's who are truly going through it.

As for comments regarding Paul not missing his money, sounds right considering how much he's worth doesn't it? But would you let someone screw you over on a whim putting you exactly where they want? Fighting for the truth, if that's all she was up to she wouldn't need as big a wedge. Come on!

Finally, the comments I've been hearing to the tune of "I don't rate him as a musician anyway" make me laugh. Fair enough if his work's not to your taste, but he was the driving force in The Beatles and continually proved himself to be a superb musician with ideas way beyond their time. I've yet to meet a musician who can honestly say otherwise.

...And if you think you've learned all there is, you're not a musician.

Poor Paul, he was a fool, but I honestly believe he married her on the rebound, and I think she probably reminded him of Linda in some way. His family could see what she was like from the beginning but he couldn't. Yes, Heather Mills IS a strong woman and there is no way she would ever have put up with anyone hitting her. She'd have been screaming from the rooftops. I know we can't believe newspaper reports but lets look at their public profiles: Paul, faithful family man, loyal, fun guy, well liked, a modest man who likes his privacy, been in the news regularly for over 40 years with never a hint of scandal about him apart from smoking canabis. And Heather? By all accounts she has a rather murky past and allegedly lived on the streets, has been involved in prostitution and took cocaine - mmmm and she complains about cannabis?

However, I think she planned it all from the beginning. She went after Paul KNOWING he was vulnerable. She married him after making sure there was no pro-nuptial, and immediately got pregnant to 'seal' the marriage. Mission accomplished, now go live your own life for a couple of years then take him to the cleaners.

OK, so Paul has the money and he probably won't miss it. But why should she be entitled to a chunk of it? She didn't help him earn it. Linda did that. I think a GENEROUS settlement would be 4 times what she officially earned in the year before she met Paul. She's only spent 4 years with him and during that time she's flown all over the world and lived a life of luxury. If you spent 4 years in a job and walked out with 4 times your annual salary wouldn't you be quite happy? And that's all it was to her, she was just another working girl trying to feather her nest.

She always maintained she was not a moneygrabber, if that's the case then what exactly has she done in the last 4 years that merits £50m? I also hope Paul gets his confidentiality clause, because I think she has told enough lies already. The thought of her writing a book full of more lies and making even more money is sickening. Sorry, but she completely disgusts me. It's women like her who give the rest of us a bad name.

totally agree, I don't buy this Cr*p about women should could a settlement after only a few years of marriage, (when he has brought more to the marriage than her i mean).

When she did that interview in USA, she potrayed herself to be a strong woman (in my opinion) and i am sorry, there are women all over the world living through real hell everyday, (and men) that do not have the world's eye's on them ready to help. A celebrity on the other hand, does have the world watching, and with our need for newspapers and magazine's, there is no way he could beat her and nobody would have known.

Who was she before they met anyway, i've only heard of her being attatched to him!

Good point lou b.

Completely agree with you. She pranced about like a young 'un on that dance programme, peg leg or not, yet come the divorce appearance, she rolled up in a wheelchair, hopefully, playing the poor cripple won't get her anywhere, the vile leech !

I agree. If he had beaten Heather she would have gone straight to the press. She is an attention seeker.
I don't think she deserves half as she has her own career. Sir Paul should pay for his daughter but that's it. She is a gold digger and certainly doesn't dererve our sympathy.

Totally agree. She's not hard up by a long shot anyway and doesn't need any kind of "settlement". Apparently she could get around £50 million...funny, I don't remember her writing any Beatles songs.

Paul Mcartney lost his first wife to cancer and that was a giant blow to him and what Heather is doing doesn;t come close to what he has already lost.
She couldn't possibly hurt him anymore than he has already been hurt with the loss of his first wife.
