It's not illegal, it is between consenting adults, it does not necessarily mean that one partner has sex with someone elses, it does not involve children (EVER) and I would just like to know what is wrong with it?
Why do people on here, who no nothing about it, comment on it and make underhand remarks about people who choose to swing.
Brothels & gays have been swinging since time began. Swinging is no different to watching a porn movie or going to a peep show in London...

It takes A LOT of trust for a couple to agree to swing. Complete faith in one another. Children are NOT exposed to these activities. Same as any other kids, "mum & dad have gone out"..

Go into the free chat rooms and speak to ordinary people who enjoy this activity. Children are NEVER exposed to such things.
I guess if the parents are warped and perverse, like Fred West then that's different, but how many Fred Wests do we have... highly unlikely that children are exposed.

heather .. I defend it because if it is all consenting then there is nothing wrong in it. Gays and Whores have been at it for years.
Whilst the site I have linked does have adult content. It is not apparent on the home page. It is a professional website, controlled and monitored. The adult stuff is hidden and there for you to find.
The main reason I have provided this link is so that you can read up on Swinging, not so that you can become part of it. You have the wrong attitude for it anyway.

To answer your question quite honestly. There is nothing wrong with swinging but only if you are in a very Strong relationship. The thing is that most of the people answering your question would think nothing of a one night stand as long as their partner never got to know about it.Swingers keep it in the family so to speak. The truth is that generally swingers marriages generally do not break up as often as non swingers. Most marriages break up because of one or more horny partners having an affair.
I could answer most of the negative answers above but I'm not going to as everyone has a right to agree or disagree.
To each his own.
Now I think that I'm going to ask a question on tapas in the food section and see how many people answer about the Mc's.

Nothing legally wrong (IMHO) about swinging between consenting adults.
However, it does seem sleazy and most people do not care for whores, male or female. Yeah the guys will say different when they are young or young in the head. LOL But no one settles down for a long term relationship with someone who sleeps around. Well, most would not. I know I would not.
As to people making snide comments about it. Well, no matter what, we will always have people trying to run other peoples lives. Control freaks, they think they know best how you or I should live.

I agree its for consenting adults to take part in and even if McCanns were at it (AND WE DONT KNOW) its none of our business.
Personally, I think its a bit of sad pursuit but whatever - they should be able to do it - these people are not harming anyone else.
I do think swinging is more risky than watching a porn show or going to a peep show. For a start there are STDs which are not all stopped by using condoms I'm afraid.

I don't think I like the idea of doing what whores do. You do realize they are called whores for a reason, right? Oh, I see you even use brothels as an example. That makes it much better.

Nothing is wrong with it as long as any children are kept out of the way and are looked after appropriately. If this was a swingers holiday -which I am not saying it was, but that is what has been suggested - then why didn't they leave the children at home with grandparents?

Well in some sense it does involve the children. What if it opens up a can of worms and causes marital problems. Its adultery in my eyes. It is just nor moral I think as well as the fact that even condoms are not 100% affective against aids. What if a condom breaks and their is someone swinging that does not make people aware of their HIV status or do not even know. There are just to many STD's out there. When 2 people join in marriage they are making a commitment to one another and it just does not seem morally correct to make your marriage work by having sex with all sorts of tom dick and harrys. I got pregnant with #3 due to a condom breaking. What if a married couple are swinging and a pregnant results and it is not with each other. How do you explain that to your children? Mommy is having a baby but it is not Daddys. We are not even sure whos baby it is?

What adults do behind closed doors is their own business as long as it is legal and doesn't hurt anyone else. I recently met a couple and discovered they were swingers. I was shocked although I really don't know why. Maybe I'm not as broadminded as I thought. Must be getting old!

You seem to know a lot about it Mary and are very quick to defend those that do it!
There is nothing wrong with swinging. But arranging a holiday with your kids in order to swing is wrong. It should be done when the kids are away with grandparents and aren't going to be a concern.
But on a lighter note - do you think Gerry would get many takers? YUK!
And Mary, I'd be grateful if you would stop advertising a site containting adult content on here.
Now I don't know whether to beleive they were or are swingers and that is what they were up to that week but IF they were it just goes to prove how selfish the lot of them are.

because they re not getting enough themselves? Any sexual act between two or more consenting adults is neither illegal or kinky.
each to their own as I say. I'm not a prude. Some people however never get out of the missionary position. I'm not saying swinging is for me, i dint think i could do it but whatever floats anyone else's boat then fair play to them.

I don't think anything is wrong with swinging, if that's what you want to do, do it. (not you personally Mary, I mean in general)
I know plenty of people who swing. I am just not interested in it. Never have been.
I like my husband and I ain't sharing him wit' nobody!
