Since fruit is defined as having seeds, perhaps there should be a different phrase used instead of the oxymoron "seedless fruit."

To the person who asked about cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes: yes, they all are classified by botanists as fruit, because they contain seeds. There is a legal definition that draws the line differently, but the botanists are the plant experts. Lawyers should stick to their field of expertise and stay out of science.
