I think most, even the Brits would agree with me, when I say that George Bush is a puppet. The puppet masters put him out there and you can heave your irritation at his name and the flag to which it is attached. It's a beautiful arrangement and it's been going on for qite some time although others were better at keeping it a little less transparent. My question is, who was the last guy who held the office that really called the shots who, ok paid attention to corporations and lobbyist without having to be a slave to them.

Woah! I know my question came off as anti-Bush(mainly because I am I guess), but I'm just trying to point out that this whole iconic idea of a great man who makes the giant tough decisions and litterally moves mountains and populations with a gesture, the stroke of a pen and the giving of speech may be something that died with Roosevelt or possibly, JFK. Oops, there, I said it. Anyway, now, I really feel people pull GB and probably the next president whoever that will be into a room and inform him on what he's going to do and say and instruct him on how his part of that has to be done(regardless D or R). I WANT to be wrong here, but that's the way I see it.

Koalatcomics - yours is just about the most pathetic and logically irrational argument I have ever seen on Yahoo answers. You don't even address the question. You are the only loser on this page.

Fact is, there is a mountain of evidence splashed all over the media (not just the internet), and most of which comes directly from the White House itself, that Cheney rather than Bush runs the show. Just one example of this is Bush insisting on Cheney being present throughout his 9/11 Commission testimony.

Bush's somewhat unillustrious pre-president political profile fits that of someone who was chosen for his suitability for sitting quietly in the Oval office, saying the right things at the right time and not asking any questions. It hardly stood up well to close examination, which would explain why so many of his personal records - his drink driving conviction and his woeful attendance at Texas Air National Guard - inexplicably went missing.

You don't need to spend too long on the internet to see this presidency for what it really is. The evidence is there for anyone with rudimentary critical thinking skills to pick through. There will always be ill-informed, mouth-breathing gimps like Koalatcomics who will believe the bullshït that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter or Fox News spew out. Thankfully, more and more Americans are having the courage to think for themselves and voice their questions and concerns.

My guess, based on what I have learned objectively observing US politics for the last 20 years, is pretty much in line with your implication - JFK.

He gained't very last the completed 4 365 days...yet he would have as well...wasn't a wide fan of his at the same time as he went all evangelical christian in the course of the election...yet i understand it changed into more desirable to get votes. i like alot of what he has finished in his time serving...yet i imagine the country truly mandatory a huge replace after Bush...it's going to be very sturdy for us, and that i do trust you'll see a truer McCain come out like he changed into in the course of the 2000 race now that he knows he gained't run in 2012...nicely and that i could be mendacity if i did not say picking Palin turned right into a mistake on a touch galactic scale.

you may have read about 911 i lived it in manhattan at wtc and trust me, id much rather had bush than a president who couldnt keep it zipped up and do his job. leadership is just fine for everyone but the liberals...lets do a little math.
congress 11 percent approval
bush 39 percent
though war certainly is not popular, the numbers clearly speak for themselves.
you lose on this one, have a nice day.

Looking at it from outside the usa its clearly Clinton's era.

Bush is the biggest disaster for the usa since it became the most powerful nation in the world.
