OK i am conducting a poll here on american citizens.
If you had the choice of paying higher taxes in exchange for free healthcare would you or would you rather pay low taxes and pay for your own healthcare?

Well our taxes are supposed to go to healthcare anyways paying more would not do anything. The only way healthcare will be free if doctors worked for free.

This is the right p&s section eventhough it says entertainment and music. I would rather they take it out of my taxes b/c once its gone I will 4get about it and not miss it. It would have to be a resonable price though. I don't want to pay more than I pay now for my healthcare!!:)(:

On a purely personal level, we have excellent health care coverage through Mayo Clinic, so I wouldn't care to see that changed a bit. However, in the interests of our society at large, given so many people who can't afford adequate health care-especially for young children-I would be willing to pay higher taxes to help them. It is a complex question and there are a lot of trade offs to be considered, though.

I'm a brit but over here we pay higher taxes and have free healthcare and it's crap...hospitals are filthy and full of infection. My granddad went into hospital for a minor op and died of an infection. Nurses are overworked and underpaid and waiting lists are far too long. I would much rather pay lower taxes and pay for healthcare.

If it would make *high quality* health care available to *everyone* ,then my answer is YES! I would be willing to pay higher taxes! High Quality & Everyone being the key players!
Hope this helps in your survey!

Rather pay for my own health-care. With government controlled health-care you probably won't be free to choose the physician you want, what procedures you want done, etc. Free health-care would not be "free". Paying taxes wouldn't be "free health-care" but "Government controlled socialist health-care".
