I believe such programs, as welfare and SSI, ARE affecting the American economy, because its extra money that taxpayers have to pay, for people who are on SSI. I don't believe that these people are lazy, and don't want to work. There is a good reason behind that, and its like not what most think. I know and understand where these people are coming from (I have family relatives and some people they know as friends) who are on these programs. Some of them are really battling in getting a job or wanting to get a job, just like other folks out there in the world, but the people of this world, tend to judge them and think they got severe mental problems that prevent them from getting along with others, and be able to handle a job in the working world. The sad thing is, when others place them in this situation (of being on welfare or SSI) many people who are put into these programs, start to think that there really is something wrong with them, and think they can't change it, due to accepting people's opinions, that their problem is an inherited trait passed down from their family generation (such as a medical problem, or mental illness). I dont believe these people have severe problems like many think, and really want to be lazy, because many of them who are on medications for their medical problems or mental illnesses, have unpleasant side-effects that just make matters or their situation worse, by being too sleepy all the time, or too laid-back, whereas it seems like they are lazy. When these people are on such medication, their bodies start to get immune to it, and crave for it, just like people who crave for drugs or nicotine, in cigarettes. Sadly, the govt is putting people on these medications, that seem to act like another drug, but is legal. These medications are just messing these people up, making them seem worse than they really are.
My sister, Ann is on SSI, for a mental illness that others think (thru judgement) she has (and sadly, she believes them, too). The sad truth is, the people in this world, that have jobs are the ones who encourage these people to think that their problems are worse than theirs, and put these people (those on welfare and on SSI) in these bad positions, all by judging and thinking their is something wrong with them, when really, there is nothing wrong with them. The truth is, all people have problems, so what gives others the right think theirs are worse than theirs? But, just because someone has a problem or problems, does not mean that person is bad or evil. I always believe there is a good reason behind everything, and later in life, I finally found the answer (truth) to that, From LORD, Jesus Christ! LORD, Jesus helped me understand what is going on with these people, and why. I don't view them as lazy or stupid, but feel sorry for these people, for they are not aware of the truth, from God. These people don't have have anything wrong with them. They just dont have God, in their life to help them deal with the evil spirits, from Satan the devil, as unbelievers. These people don't know about God's truth, and how He can save their lives, by curing them, for good. These people have problems, because they are possessed by an evil spirit from the Devil, and are not aware (or understand His wisdom) of this truth, from God, thru Jesus Christ.
These people, who are on welfare and/ or SSI, are struggling to live in this world, just like the rest of the people, who have jobs in this world. You all are struggling to survive, but both sides (people on welfare and SSI, as well as the people with jobs on this working world) have ONE THING IN COMMON. They all need God, to help them live LIFE. Every person in this world, even those think they got great careers and family lives, all have problems just like those who are on welcare and SSI. No one can say that their problem is better or worse, because what matters most is, BOTH need God to help them . .to save their live from eternal death. God can cure all the sick, the blind, the lame, all people's problems, if people only believed in Him, that He can. All people need to solve their problems, whether mentally/medically/financially, is FAITH IN LORD, JESUS CHRIST.
So, people ..do not judge these people for what they do with their lives, for you and all others have problems just like they do. You are no better than them, or have the right to judge them for being bad people (by thinking and saying they are lazy), for you have your share of problems, too. What makes you think you are better than everyone else, if you are not so perfect, yourself? Think before you speak, and learn to love others, unconditionally ..just as God does for us, and encourages us all to.
"Judge not, and you will not be judged." Do not judge and condmen people who are on welfare or SSI, for they are unaware of God's truth, that He can help them with their problems. And, I know that many people in this world, who have careers, friends and possessions from the world, are unware of God's truth, to help them with the problems that they have, but don't reveal, for they are too proud to admit it, cause they don't see it . ..for evil blinds people from the truth (knowing God's truth).
The people on SSI and welfare are having a hard time working for the world (by getting a job in the working world), because of the world's ways really is not work. Its nothing but being a slave to sin or evil. Who would want to be treated as a slave and serve evil? Not me, and am sure no one will want to. People would be better off (happy) working for God, instead. Believe me, I know ..for I am living proof, that serving God (as a Christian) is way better than serving to support the evils of this world, for money! Amen!
So, please I encourage you to have mercy on these people, for they are your brothers and sisters in the eyes of God. We are to love and care for all people, for their are our kind, the human race. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you suddenly happen to be in an unfortunate situation, all because of the evils of the world did it to you ..making you suffer, would you want somone to help you get thru this hard time? I certainly would. I would help these people out (morally and financially), encouraging them to be strong and place their faith in God to get thru it. So, please ..people be merciful and loving towards others, no matter what condition they are in, whether medically or financially . .for we all need to each other for help to keep the human race alive, by loving each other with the same love God has for us.
