It seems to me that the AP poll is out to lunch and doesn't rank correctly. The USA poll is slightly better, but still way out in left field. The Harris poll is also messed up but is the most correct of the 3.

They are just people voting their opinions. The real poll isn't out yet, that's the championship decider.

FSU beating Alabama was a big statement. I thougth bama had that game before the kickoff. FSU finally looked strong. I'm glad. I hate to see that program suffer so much. They finally had it together Saturday. Kentuck is a pretty good team. I agree they may be ranked a little higher than they should be but their QB is Vince Young like. He has the talent to win the game no matter who the opponent is. The talk is that he might end up as an Atlanta Falcon next year. South Florida really had the mountaineers looking like an unranked and unprepared team Friday night. WV couldn't get anything to work. USF just dominated the ball on every snap. Although Florida lost I believe their ranking ahead of USF is correct. Even though UF's record is not undefeated the team they lost to (Auburn) is a lot like FSU. They have a lot of talent and have had some trouble clicking and having consistency on game day. Auburn and FSU just happened to get it together finally this past Saturday and showed two great teams that they are still great teams too. Too bad they struggled earlier in the season.

The polls are crap. This year the competition is more even than I can remember. All the more reason to have a playoff system.
