What would you all suggest for a floor that's been newly tiled and sealed and due to some poor grout quality, there are some pinholes in the grout. Could you just cover up that grout with new grout considering it's a brand new floor?

The new grout just won't stick! Bottom line, Remove old, replace with new!! Don't do half a job, it WILL come back to bite you in the butt, later!!

Get a grout removal tool from homeDepot. It's not expensive, and works great, especially on old grout that's peeling!! Use a vacuum cleaner to clean up the old loose grout before adding new grout. It won't take you long, and you'll be proud of the results.

There,s no problem IF you use a grount saw and clean out the first little bit of the old grout, then re grout and re seal .

Incomplete job you won't like.
Be sure to wipe surface with rubbing alcohol after cleaning.
Do it right....It is worth it!
