It should start with a capital letter and you should insert the word/letter A before plausible. A plausible series of loathsome events. I'm not sure what it is you are trying to convey with this sentence but it certainly sounds like it has been contrived from the books by Lemony Snicket titled 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.
