Resident evil 4, although the story line is a little different but so old Friends do make a cameo appearances. Resident Evil Outbreak file One and Two. Pretty different with the game contain a group element instead of just one guy, that can provide you with support in escaping from marauding zombies as well as getting into hard places and it also has the ability to be played on-line with real people taking over the computer AI in your party. Any on the Silent Hill games, they play very similarly to the RE games as far as weaponry and innovatory go and can somewhat been even a little more creepy. Happy Hunting.

Resident evil 4 is a great game. Personally my favourite of the resident evil series.
Also - if you like the horror games you can try the Silent Hill series - they're dark & creepy although not QUITE as much action as the resident evil lot. Personally they're my faves as they really scare me.
Or theres the Project Zero/Fatal frame series about a japanese girl with a camera that can catch ghosts. That can get rather creepy.
If you want a game with a story and lots of action try God of War. I just got it for £10 and am totally addicted - its fab!

vampire night is a very similar game you can also use a gun and has loads of levels to it

If you liked RE3, you simply must play RE4. This is easily the best horror game I've ever played, and one of the best games I've ever played. Here is an IGN review (they gave it a 9.5/10):

i havnt played the resident evil games, but why not try the suffering thats supposed to be ok and theres project Zero1 and 2 they are both good
