The President was caught flat footed during 9/11 and the Americans do not know what to do to stop the planes from crashing except one that did not hit the target because the passengers had presence of mind.

I'm sure the President would have wanted to be the first to lead the rescuers into the WTC. Fortunately or unfortunately he was restrained by his overprotective bodyguards.
