~More importantly, why do most people - historians and otherwise - choose to ignore the fact that the Jews represent a small minority of those murdered by the Nazis in the genocidal racial purification programs? I guess the Slavs, the Poles, the Serbs, the Romas, the Ukraines and the rest of the 12 million or so forgotten dead who perished in the camps and on the killing fields were just not worthy.
Edit to Smart Guy: you don't have to believe it but the documentation is there. Don't sell German efficiency (or record keeping) short. Although Operation 14f13 only lasted for about 2 years, at least 2.6 million Jews were gassed and burned in the death camps. The other 3.4 million Jews, along with 12 million or so others, died in the concentration camps. Many of those Jews would have been in the camps had they not been Jewish and would have worn a triangle instead of a star, but they'd be just as dead from starvation, overwork, disease and murder. First hand accounts, complete with pictures, were in London shortly after Belzec opened - Jan Karski went in disguised as an SS guard and brought the proof out. Nobody cared. My beef is that the millions of others are forgotten, not that it didn't happen.

the holocaust is denied based on they were victims of war ,take a look back in history ,algeria 1.5 million killed by french ,who recognized it as genocide, the jews as minority have raised the issue ,others unfortunately cant buy or propagand it,many races ,countries ,religious groups have been suffered and massacered ,why the holocaust is historical evidence even denial is a crime in germany and many european countries ,iraq now ,japan ,world war 2 ,etc ,,,under what theme historians are gonna claim them ,one jew dies its all over the media,100 palestianians even their names arent mentioned, double standards ,and some historians are still holding on to integrity ,if u want the holocaust to be recognized as you want ,give the whole human race fair competition and their true place in history (till today the armenain genocide by turks is under negotiations ,)double standards

Which historian? I know of no historian of any respect and self worth that would even make such a asinine claim. That is unless you're of the caliber of Mongol up there with the first answer. Then you're not a historian...you're a moron.
