i think not possible i will explain like this our sensex is grooming why because a great flood of foreign investments are entering our market why!!! let me explain like this

I got some interesting calculations

1$=45.6(0ct 12 2006)

1$=39.24(oct 12 2007)

Let assume that you converted 100000 US $ to indian currency on oct 12 2006 its 45.6*100000=4560000

Let think that you could not gain even 1 rupee on that amount and you converted same amount into US $ into Indian currency today 4560000/39.24=116207.95$ not any magic its true

imagine if you gain 10% on 4560000 and convert it to US $

I think this is best answer I can give why more foreign investments are flooding at sensex making its stronger and stronger

so its a cumulative process which make indian rupee still stronger

of course i will agree a some times rupee become weak

but its momentary period and again rupee pick up fast

Most of the recent change has been due to the fall of the dollar vs almost all the currencies of the world, so my prediction depends on whether the dollars has stabilized. I think it is near bottom so I don;t expect much change in the USD vs Rupee exchange rate by years end.

i think indian rupee will fall to RS 60 to a dollar in 2-3 years. I dont know if it would touch INR 45 but I want it be about 45 because that would be good for our economy.

And you have to weaken the currency to boost your exports to surface yourself in geo-economic power-game, which gives you major strategic advantages. Every country did this when they needed, US in 1900, Japan in 1950s, China till date. So, India should also keep its currency weaker.

It will not touch back 45 mark by the end of this year. It will be around range of 39-42 only (depending upon Left support on N-deal with Congress party).

It will not go down below 39 because export lobby is very strong in India.
