3/8 + 5/16 = (6+5) /16 = 11 / 16
2 7/16 + 1 1/4 = (32+7) / 16 + (4+1)/4 = 39/16 + 5/4
= (39 + 20) /16 = 59 /16
= 3 and 11/16
1 1/16 + 1 1/8 = (16+1)/16 + (8+1)/4 = 17/16 + 9/4
= (17+36)/16 = 53/16
= 3 and 5/16
3/16 + 8 3/4 = 3/16 + (32+3)/4 = 3/16 + 35/4
= (3+140)/16 = 143/16
= 8 and 15/16
2 * (3 3/4 + 1 1/16) = 2 * [ 15/4 + 17/16 ] = 2 * [ 60 + 17 ]/16
= 77/8 = 9 and 5/8

= 3 over 8 + 5 over 16
= 3/8 + 5/16
= 6/16 + 5/16
= 11/16
= 2 and 7over 16 +1 and 1 over 4
= 2 7/16 + 1 1/4
= 39/16 + 5/4
= 39/16 + 20/16
= 59/16 or 3 11/16
= 1 and 1 over 16 * 1 and 1 over 8
= 1 1/16 * 1 1/8
= 17/16 * 9/8
= 153/128 or 1 25/128
= 3 over 16 8 3 over 4
What do I do with this? The problem doesn't make sense. ¿Qué hago con éste? El problema no tiene ningún sentido.
= 2 * (3 and 3 over 4 + 1 and 1 over 16)
= 2(3 3/4 + 1 1/16)
= 2(15/4 + 17/16)
= 2(60/16 + 17/16)
= 2(67/16)
= 67/8 or 8 3/8

1. When you add fractions you must have both numbers on the bottom (denominator) the same. So change the 8 to 16 by multiplying by 2. If you do that you must multiply the 3 by 2 also. (whatever you do to the bottom you must do to the top). So your sum now is 6/16 + 5/16. That gives you 11/16.
2. You can do this 2 ways. This is the simplest way. Add the whole numbers 2 + 1. This gives you 3. Then add the fractions. 7/16 + 1/4. Since the denominators are different we again multiply to make them the same. Change the 4 to 16 by multiplying by 4. Multiply the 1 by 4 also because it is on the top. (whatever you do to the bottom you must do to the top). Your sum now is 3 + 7/16 + 4/16 = 3 and 11/16.
3. The other way you could have done question 2 is to change to improper fractions as you should do for this one. Change the mixed numbers 1 and 1/16 X 1 and 1/8 to improper fractions. ie 1 is 16/16 so add it to the 1/16 and you get 17/16. Then 1 is also 8/8 so add that to 1/8 and you have 7/8. Your sum is now 17/16 X 9/8. Multiply the top numbers ie 17 and 9 to get 153 and the bottom numbers 16 by 8 to get 128. Your answer is 153/128. Divide 153 by 128 to get your answer of 1 and 25/128
4. I think you have missed out a + * - or / here.
5. Add what is inside the brackets first. 3 + 1 = 4. 3/4 + 1/16= 12/16 + 1/16 (because we had to change the denominator to match eachother) = 13/16. Your answer inside the bracket is 4 and 13/16. Multiply this by 2. 4 X 2 = 8 and 13/16 X 2 = 26/16. Get rid of the improper fraction 26/16 by dividing by 16 and you get 1 and 10/16. Add the 1 to your 8 to get 9 and simplify 10/16 by dividing top and bottom by 2 = 5/8. finally you have 9 and 5/8 as your answer.

>3 over 8 + 5 over 16
3/8 + 5/16 = 6/16 + 5/16 = 11/16
>2 and 7over 16 +1 and 1 over 4
(2+7)/16 + (1+1)/4 = 9/16 + 2/4 = 9/16 + 8/16 = 17/16 = 1 1/16
>3 over 16 8 3 over 4

To add or subtract, any fractions their denominators must be same. To make denominatore same take LCM of numbers in the denominators.
3 over 8 + 5 over 16
= 3/8 + 5/16 -------------- 8 and 16 in denominator, Take LCM of 8 and 16.
LCM = 16
Rule : if out of two numbers, the smaller no. divides the greater No. exactly , then smaller No. is GCD and greater No. is LCM
In the fraction, 3/8 to make denominator 16 we have to multiply by 2 to 8. Hence to make equivalent fraction, multiply by same number to the numerator also.
3/8 + + 5/16
= (3 × 2/8 × 2) + 5/16
= 6/16 + 5/16
as the denominators are same we can add the numerators.
= 6 + 5/ 16
= 11/16
2 and 7over 16 +1 and 1 over 4
Here both are mixed numbers. make them into fractions.
= (2×16 + 7 / 16) + (1 × 4 + 1/4)
= 23/16 + 5/ 4 ---------------- male denominators same. LCM = 16
= 23/16 + 20/16
=43/16 -------- convert this in to mixed number
= 2 integer 11/16
1 and 1 over 16 * 1 and 1 over 8
make into velgur fractions.
= (1 × 16 + 1/16) × (1 × 8 + 1/8)
= 17/16 × 9/8 -------- here mulfiplication is there. Multiply numbers in numerators and numbers in denominators saperately.
= 153/128 ---------- convert this in mixed number
= 1 integer 25/128
3 over 16 8 3 over 4
Here sign is not there. do your self.
2 * (3 and 3 over 4 + 1 and 1 over 16)
I hope you can do this.
Make practice of it.

Find the least common denominator. First factor the denominators. (3/2^3)+(5/2^4)=THEN US a multiplier applied to the numerator, in this case 2. (6/2^4)+(5/2^4)=11/(2^4 ) =11/16.
7/(2^4)+1/(2^2 )=3 11/16 WITH THE WHOLE NUMBERS SEPERATELY ADDED.

easily you're taking the first image or wide form , consequently "x" and multiply it with the first one contained in the 2d bracket, also "x". then you actually multiply the first one with the 2d one contained in the 2d bracket. consequently, "2", then you actually take the 2d from the first bracket (a million) and multiply it with the first contained in the 2d bracket (x). Then multiply the 2d with the 2d contained in the 2d bracket. somewhat puzzling, notwithstanding it helps in case you draw arrows. it truly is the way it may look (x+a million)(x+2) First x expanded by using 2d x....xsquared First x expanded by using 2, 2x a million expanded by using X, x a million expanded by using 2, 2 upload all of them up.... x(squared) + 2x + x + 2 x(squared) + 3x + 2 it quite is the simplified form. it truly is form of confusing to describe over the internet, yet sturdy success (:
