Yes, in fact, that's a thought on which I've spent many hours of reflection, but, even though other people are much worse than me, there are also some that are a lot better off, and yet they aren't happy either.

Actually, there's no way in which we can know if the person who can't eat is experiencing a bigger or smaller pain than the person that's overeating and killing him/herself slowly.

My point would be, no matter how well or bad resolved your life is, if you feel bad is because you are in pain, be it either physical or emotional. And, since noone can tell you that your pain is bigger or smaller than anyone else's, if you think you feel like crap, then feel like crap. There's no sense in adding a guilt trip to it.

Sorry for the long winded answer, but as I said, this is a subject which I have discussed at large, so this seemed like a nice chance to share my findings.

Hope I helped!

Yes. I have to agree with Rockmum here. I take my boys to the local hospital and end up going home in tears.
My eldest cannot hear, but an operation will fix that. I had been feeling very sorry for myself. Then out of the blue I get a phone call and find out my 13 year old cousin has cancer. Now I feel guilty if I mention my problems to my family.

I thought about children of 3rd world growing up a lot and I still do... Although I don't feel all that misfortunate, I still think there is a lot of ignorance and wastefulness going on around the world where it should not be. What's the worst is we blame our structured societies, as if we can't do a thing about all the starving and dying children all around the world. I sometimes flip on Mtv and can't believe what I'm seeing.. It's absolutely terrible.

So I guess the answer is yes.

In historic Israel God (Habakkuk a million:a million-4) heard the outcry of his prophets (Micah 6:6-8). In both circumstances they were informed what God wanted, and it changed into recorded for an party for us. Being damage contained in the middle is a sturdy component once you're sorrounded by using badness, yet then to do something to regulate the international (it quite is lower than the rule of thumb of devil) is futile, it quite is why Christ emphasised preaching the sturdy information of God's Kingdom, because it truly is by using the dominion association that you likely can nicely be saved. not man or woman action, yet action interior the association created by using God by using his Christ is the purely highway to salvation. between the the reason why Christ stated the route greatest off into Salvation could be cramped and narrow. So not each and each and every of the so said as "Christian" paths are a similar. one component you should look foris the same old love that unites the Congregation (international, not purely interior one progression), and a simillar coaching application because we are a tactics from perfection, yet of route considering God has been a similar from the starting up he knowledgeable Adam on a daily basis, and his human beings regullarly in the course of the Bible, and they were continuously tought in a unified way (so it truly is going to be as we talk in his actual following), and considering it says in Malachi 3:16-18 the e book of rememberance will be written about those calling/speaking upon his call. So it comprises what's God's call? nicely depending when you're translating the call into historic Hebrew (Yahweh) or German/English (Jehovah) you'll oftentimes discover the assistance on your Bible's preface or translation notes lower than the time period Tetragrammaton, considering it truly is switched over quite oftentimes to a attractiveness consisting of Lord.

I feel that way right now...I'm dealing with on-line identity fraud....but that really isn't so awfull compared to all the suffering that is going on world wide. Thank you for putting it into perspective for me! Some times we just have to broaden our view..you know, take in more of the total picture, instead of focusing too closely on only our 'problem of the moment'.

Yes. A couple of years ago I lost my baby due to an ectopic pregnancy. In the beginning I felt so sorry for myself because I was very sick (my tube ruptured, I went into shock and I lost about 2 pints of blood due to internal bleeding resulting in a transfusion and emergency surgery.) Afterwards in the hospital, as I lay there in my bed with tubes for Africa coming out of me, I discovered I was sharing a ward with a couple of elderly women who were recovering from breast cancer. The woman in the bed next to me had just had a breast removed and the woman opposite her had suffered the same fate. They then introduced me to a woman who'd just had both her breasts removed and was gathering her strength for reconstructive surgery. I felt very humbled by these brave women because, despite their own suffering, they still showed me support and took the time to talk to me. I'll never forget their kindness as it helped me through quite a tough time (all this happened about 2 days after I found out my grandfather had died). Thanks to these extraordinary women, I feel f ucking lucky.

i have alwats looked at life like this those that are worse of than me while i feel sorry for them i didn,t cause their problems so they must do the same as me and get out of them, we all make mistakes we just have to learn how to resolve them, there are also a lot of people so much better of than me, its no good being jealous or brooding about it we just have to try to be their equalls if possible if not just try to be happy the best way we can

No, that's bad logic, because there is one person in the world who has it worse than anybody else. Should that person be the only one who has the right to feel bad?

Yes, of course I do..but that's not unusual. We all feel like that at times. The important thing to remember is that it's alright to feel that way. Guilt is your enemy. You know that there are many worse off then you. That's what counts. It shows that you at least realize it and are not as self centered as you think....

Definitely. I think we all get caught up in the "it's all about me" thing and just worry about our own lives, and forget that there are so many people out there suffering and we are crying because we didn't get the designer purse we wanted for christmas.
But....sometimes, like seeing this question, kinda puts me back in my place...
but tommorows another day.
