Honestly this is an intriguing question that teases my argumentative side. I pray that I would do what is right and ethical, however the question has a "CONDITION" ... like
condition= if I were The Devil and saw an innocent person that had been good all her life about to be tempted to commit a sin and go to hell, would I as the Devil save her or bring her "Home"?
Is that what being a paparazzi means? To put your conscience in a jar and shelve it? As Dilbet's manager puts it.
What is it that I am comited to be the Best at, proffesional or citizen?but if my career demands that I constantly behave unethically(therefore The Devil) what is my obvious duty?
Would I be a hypocrite if I acted like someone with a conscience
Would I date a paparazzi is the next logical question or would I befriend one, what about if a friend got laid off and got a gig as a paparazzi would he still be my friend?
Honestly I don't know
Life has taught me that whenever I say "I'll never do this ..."
sure enough I would be in a situation where I'd be facing a new way of looking at life, i think is called Paradigm Shift.
I hope my spirit guides would rescue me and help me help others.
But I can't condemn them just love them and pray that i will never be like that.

That's the problem with the Paparazzi. They are paid by each photo and the better the shot the more money they can command. Just one of those shots of the Princess could have made their retirement closer. I saw the news last night. They had pictures showing the Paparazzi climbing all over the car. One shot even showed a camera right in the car. Later shots showed the emergency services on the scene and the Paparazzi were still close to the car taking pictures.
Before, people wanted glamorous pictures of celebrities now they want pictures of celebs looking their worst. There are high pay packets for pictures of celebs without make up on or caught looking terrible. Those Paparazzi knew that the pictures of Di laying injured or dying would of been worth millions.
Any normal human being would say that they would put the camera down and they would assist in such a situation. Unfortunately, you don't know how you would react until you are in that situation and you have the difference between a few hundred for a picture or a few millions for a whole lot of pictures. That;s the sorry state of affairs that we live in.

Not as Paparazzi or anything else, as a person you should try to help but the conditions of the accident the help needed I think it's to don't touch anybody (in case of brain injuries or broken bones) and call the emergency number immediately.
I think we will never know just Charles (the Prince)...
Star.
Edit:
Let's not forget that because those pictures we might have answers to the accident.

There have been countless reports of amateurs stopping to take video footage of car wrecks, etc. And none of them thought to put down the camera and help the injured and dying. So, I really can't fault the paparazzi.

I would have helped though I'm not a pap, they are the lowest of the low and should be ashamed of themselves for not at least putting the cameras down and seeing if there was something they could do. They were instrumental in her death, and taking pictures as she lay dying is reprehensible.

I would like to think that i would throw my camera away and help but from what i read about photographers is that they love thier job with a passion and will go to many lengths to get 'that shot'.
So i think it's hard to give a truthful answer unless you were actually a pro photographer rather than a mere mortal like myself.

They are nothing more than a pack of Jackals rushing around en masse to get their shot. I'd rather have dinner with a bunch of vultures than associate with their kind.

I would think that I would help them but then you know how important a big scoop like that is to a journo so I dont think many of them would stop clicking away to help.
They seem to lose all their morals.
